Ripping off an earlier thread title for a bit less exciting story, the former governor of Virginia, Mark Warner, stayed at the hotel I work at one night last week... though I work the graveyard, when he returned to the hotel a bit after midnight, his card key got demagnetized, and I had to re-cut it for him... took the opportunity to tell him I was aware he's gonna be running for the Senate seat coming vacant in the 08 election as a result of John Warner's retiring... told him I'd voted for John, and probably would have again, because I thought he'd done a good job, but with John out of the picture, I was looking forward to casting my vote for him (Mark Warner) a year from now... told him I thought he'd done a fine job for the state while he was governor too, and hoped that he might revisit the presidential aspirations thing in future elections...
Nice guy, very boyish looking... we stored about a half dozen bicycles from his crew in the meeting room that night, apparently that's the Governor's hobby...
