On some of the pregame shows, analysts were picking Belichick for coach of the year. I don't see how that's even a consideration, considering he was fined and his team penalized for cheating. If they made a rule where players suspended for violating the drug policy are ineligible for the Pro Bowl, then how can you pick a guy caught cheating as coach of the year? Shouldn't he be ineligible?
I think that if we keep doing what we're doing, you gotta throw Wade's hat into that conversation. What makes me upset is that the team's whose first round pick we have, may have something to say by the end of the season about this conversation as well.

we can make the belichick rule, no coach should be allowed consideration for coach of the year after being found guilty of cheating.
kinda like the merriman rule

Sure, why not? Shawne Merriman can be suspended 4 games and still make the Pro Bowl.

Exactly. Doesn't make it right, but that's the way they play.

And that was wrong, which NFL changed the rule, albeit, after the fact.
Same thing will probably happen. Pats finish with 16-0 or 15-1 and Belicheat will win the Coach of the Year and NFL changes the rule, but again, after the fact.
NFL is a reactive not proactive organization.

Apparently they figured out a different way to cheat:
Redskins communication system broken in New England?
(http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/view.bg?articleid=1041117&format=text)The Redskins complained in the first half that their communication system was out. "There were issues," coach Joe Gibbs said. "It's a problem across the league. I don't want to use that as an excuse for what happened to us today. We'll just continue to let the league know what happened to us today and we'll just have to see how they deal with it." -- Boston Herald
