I just read on an eagle board the Buddy Ryan was named Honorary Captain of the eagle defense for this Sunday's game! ;)

Anyone think he will address his squad and tell them to "bounty it out"?

They need all the help they could get and maintain their sorry arse image.

Also it was reported that ESPN did an interview with McPuke and McPuke said he told Reid not to worry about his problems, that he would handle everything on the field.

I can't believe the extremes Philly is going to trying to pump up their players to beat Dallas.

Sean Salisbury said last night that the Eagles are rallying around Reid and his family problems and will show their support by beating Dallas. And then now this Buddy Ryan crap. They must really be scared.

So a Philly win makes all Reid's family problems go away?

They are just trying anything to turn their season around....right now, they are in dire straits.

What is going to be interesting about this Buddy Ryan thing is, I'm going to be watching out for any "dirty tactics" during the game! How much you want to bet that there will be some "late hits" or some "head-huinting" going on during this game?

Making Buddy Ryan anything in this game just goes to show how dirty the Eagles are along with their fans. Hope the whole thing rebounds on the Eagles. No team deserves it more.

It is pathetic if true.

There are some fences that need to be mended in Philadelphia if clinging to a never-was like Ryan is what they need right now.

The talent won games for those Eagle defenses. They had perhaps the best front four of this generation. It certainly wasn't that fat swine's genius at work.

The Bears carried Buddy Ryan and not Mike Ditka off the field after their SB. The 46 was his creation. He was pretty good on D.

Ahh, that's not true, both were carried off the field. Check NFL films, they show it all the time when featuring the 1985 Bears and they talk about how both were carried off.. And yes, he was a damn good defensive mind..

It would be misery as hell if the eagles came out and trashed the Cowboys!!

That would be sickening!!

But, I think if this team stays focused, it will prevail...

It's not gonna happen, we're better then them. They aren't a very good team and we've gotten much better. Our D is fast and will swarm McFlabb all day and their WR's aren't very good at all. Westbrook is the only one who really concerns me. I also don't see them stopping us on O. Our oline will manhandle their small front 7 and I don't see their secondary covering us at all. Big day for TO and Witten.. The Eagles are last in the east with a losing record for a reason, they just aren't that good. Don't believe the hype, this game won't be that close. Boyz win by 2 or 3 TD's... Plus, I like Romo on the road, he's 7-1 since becoming a starter.

He was pretty good on D.

And he was intensely overrated as a head coach of the Eagles.

It is amusing that Philadelphia fans are so angered that they harken back to days that honestly weren't all that great.

Andy Reid is ten times the head coach that Buddy Ryan ever was.

This is not true. Its a joke from a poster on igglephans.com. Whenever you read a post over there and once opening the thread, all it says is "jerrah", its a joke. As far as I can tell its kind of a made you look joke and the jerrah part is supposed to be some kind of slight to Jerry Jones. I could be mistaken on some things but thats the best I can figure from the limited times I go there.

It also points right back to this very thread. So the joke is probably on the original poster.

Who wants to be that some Eagle goes low on Romo like that piece of crap Wilfork did.

I still cannot believe there was no flag for that............WOW.
