and he is going to be a FA after the season. How many of you actually thought he'd re-sign in Dallas anyway? That's why they had the meeting with his agent in the first place. Furthermore, QM is from Dallas and may thrive at home and take his career to the next level.

We had to get something for him now. My question is, what is Morgan's contract status?

free agent after the season...thats why I hate this deal...that and the fact that Bryant is a better WR than Morgan is

Bryant had to reach some incentives to void his deal...he still had one yr left

Unless he could void his contract after this season, no he isn't. Next season.

Morgan's contract is up at the end of the season (I must of missed him).

I'm not a fan of this trade....but if AB didn't want to be here, then see ya.

He would have been a restricted FA and Dallas could have retained his rights.

Agreed. My only problem with digesting this is that I kind of considered AB to be the future at WR for this team; can't say that about Morgan at this time. Just feel we took a step back.....time will tell.

davidhe was never going to get a chance here with BP boys here and the jersey incident. I am not thrilled about it but we would have been left at the alter when his deal was up :D

I don't mind the trade...AB was not meeting the hype and just teases us....

Quincy will be good here IMO....

Go Cowboys.....

I don't think the jersey throwing incident itself had anything to do with it.

I do, however, think the reason's Bryant threw the jersey (i.e., upset over lack of playing time) were never going to get resolved in an offense where you have two productive veteran recievers, each playinig well. Will that get solved in Cleveland? Hard to say. It'll be interesting to watch what they do with him, since they apparently couldn't find a role for Morgan.

Quincy Morgan is a bum.
If AB wanted out - fine. But why not wait until the offseason to make a deal?
...at least until draft day.

We could have possible used him and possibly one of our 1's to move up.
Whatever we would have gotten - it would have been better than that bum Morgan.

Bill is officially on my $#!% list.

First the horrible offseason free agent NON activity.... Then the horrible draft...
Then Deleting Quincy making the fossil a starter...
Then the hyping up of player upon player from DT to CB just to see them
actually be terrible and cut....
Then the terrible play calling....

We're only 5 games in and I'm emotionally spent.

What was once a promising foundation has turned into us being set back 2 years because of Bill's decisions.

He gotta go before we become the oldest team in the league.

it kinda makes you wonder why we didn't wait until the offseason. I didn't realize AB would have been restricted. Oh well, all we can hope is that QM becomes a player altho it's hard to believe with the alleged "stonehands" monicker.

If it's true that AB wanted to be outta here...I'm glad he's gone. The Cowboys, especially now, need players with total focus.

I met AB, he's a cool guy and I hope he's happy in Cleveland.
