With another speedy RB to hand off to in 2008-2009, probably not JJo, this would be one tremendous backfield...

I'd really like to get him end of the 3rd round. I'm not sure he lasts until the mid-end of the 4th round.
Heck, didn't we use a 2nd round for Moose when he came out of Syracuse?
Just because it's the FB position doesn't mean we have to use a 5-7th rounder . . . . I think this guy would be an instant starter for us. Plus, I bet he could play on ST. I know FB isn't the most sexy position, but I also think this guy may be able to play some H-Back in time, pushing up his value.
If you can get a starter and the end of the 3rd round (assuming he's still there) and if there is value there, that's not too bad.

I would love to have this battering ram leading any back of ours into the hole, plus he can catch, pick up blitzes, and has unusual speed for such a monster of a full back, he is projected to go in the third or fourth round, but I wouldnt expect he falls far enough to get to us in the fourth so second or third would be great for what I expect to make a big difference in sombodies running game.

MBIII's running style and Schmitt's blocking would put the "P" in physical. Not to mention our massive OL.

That would just further add to my current love for Parcells.
I'm don't think he'll be there for our pick in the third, but I'm hoping that Wade's experience with Lorenzo Neal has made him aware of what this kind of FB could do for our running game.

Can you say, goal line guru?
Anyone know what he's projected in the up coming draft?

I subscribed to draftinsiders, and they have him going near the end of the 3rd round.
I think somewhere around the 3rd sounds about right. But he could easily go in the top of the 3rd . . . .

Per the article in the OP he can also play some TE.

I remember when we got Moose in the second round out of Syracuse. I was high on him back then. He ended up playing RB in his rookie season since we had no RB, the strike season. Good thing that didn't work out...

oh yeah I watched him for a couple years now. WVU had him all over the place, his blocking skills are great he just loves to hit someone, if he cant do that he'll hit the ground.
He has good hands and speed for a big guy, they did line him up at TE at times. He is in that spread option offense, so he would need to adjust to NFL schemes.

Anderson was playing very well when our running game was working. That is no coincidence and Hoyte has been dinged all season long. Remember him in 2006 when he was healthy? He was blowing people up.
Id rather worry about HB before FB with Jones leaving and CB, WR, G/C, and DT before that.
We have our starter in Anderson and picking two FB high wold make the Fasano pick look like picking Barber in the fourth in terms of value.

I think either Schmitt or Arkansas' Peyton Hillis would be good choices. If we got either, I think we'd be in nice shape.

Bad quality again but this is the interview after the Fiesta Bowl. Just a few minutes earlier he nailed a guy and broke ANOTHER face mask. He gets emotional during the interview because he loves his team.

who says we have to give up on Cricket? we can have both Cricket and Schmitt...........let's give up on Hoyte....either that or simply return Hoyte back to his natural position of LB.
Schmitt blocks like Neal and runs like Riggins. What is that creature that is half man/half bull....is it Menotaur? That is what I would call Schmitt.
