No.
I doubt he'll play this year. He isn't even able to run in pads yet.

No he wasn't. Being put on the PUP list means you miss minimum of 6 games. This is our 6th. The earliest he could come back is next game. I'm not sure he is coming back. I hope so, but the odds are against him.

This was the game he was shooting to be back for. His career is in jeapordy - I hope he WALKS away - at 35/36 not worth risking his health. JMO

I'm just not ready to see Woodson go. He's a class act and a great player. I'll believe he's coming back until I officially hear otherwise.
Repeat after me: He is recovering.

No, being put on the PUP is a 6 week thing, not a 6 game thing.
All along he was predicted to come back this game.

This was the game he wanted to be back in time for. If I remember right, we have 3 weeks before we have to decide whether we want to place him on the 53 man roster or not once he's eligible to come off the PUP list. Something of that sort.
Personally I think he should walk away while he can still walk properly. Your back is nothing to mess with, especially at an age where you don't heal as fast or as well as you once did.
I believe your skeletal system develops bone mass continuously up until the age of 30 or so, then after that point, you gradually lose bone mass. That's one reason why it takes older people longer to heal breaks and why they break more easily. Even though this isn't a break per se, it's still part of your skeletal structure. It would be one thing if he was in his mid-twenties, but in your mid-thirties you're starting to roll the dice some.

I gotta go with Nors on this one. As much as I'd like to see Woody back, I would rather see him retire and be able to walk then try to come back and seriously hurt himself.
I would love to see him stick around w/ the boys in some capacity. He is one of my favorite all time Cowboys, a class act and he has been a warrior for us through thick and thin.
Get better Woody! :(

I love Woodson too, but honestly, I think the team will be better off if he retires...he's not the player he used to be, and he's holding us back.
Don't confuse that with any comparison to dixon, in which Woody would probably still look 30. We don't have a decent FS on this team because we have Woodson and Roy....Woodson is getting too old to cover and play FS...he could maybe "hang on" another year or so if he played SS in the box, covering TE's and FB's; however, that puts Roy in a bad spot because he's no pro bowl FS either.
The sooner Woodson retires and we accept it, the better. Let him and his salary hit the road...bring in a true FS to start back there in the deep patrol, and keep Roy up in the box playing the way Woody always played when he had a true FS behind him.
