I figured he would replace Holmgren if the big fella decides to step down.

Seattle is probably wishing Holmgren would make up his mind.

If he's signed, it's probably at least 5 weeks into the season before Jim Mora Sr. calls in to comment about another coach killer.

I've been wondeing if Snyder would go after him.

Word around town is Greg Williams is gonna be the coach. This is probably all formality....

Probably right.

I don't think it's part of the Rooney Rule, but I think all teams are encouraged to interview a coach whose father is nuts.

I think if Holmgren steps down, he'll probably retire. I get the vibe that his wife wants him to.

Joe Gibbs the "advisor" to Snyder said the skins needed "continuity" and that Gregg Williams has had his second interview and met with Snyder for like 9 hours this weekend. I think hell get another shot

That would be an awful descision for Dan Snyder to make. Mora is not a good coach.

While I would much, much rather have GWilliams as coach, I think that Mora's stint in Atlanta is hard to judge. Having Vick as a QB is such a unique situation, that it's difficult to know whether Mora got the most out of his team.

Probably more of a favor to Gibbs than anything.

Doesn't matter who they hire, they won't be a factor in the division.

The only coach they've ever had success with retired.
They have an aging team, especially the lines.
No QB.
No go to WR.
No cap room.
and Danny Boy is still running the team. It's funny that their entire season as a franchise and fanbase is beating the Dallas Cowboys. Heck, over at Extremesucks.com they're having an orgy over our loss to the Giants. They think "our window of winning" has closed yet we have our QB and were younger with more draft picks and more cap room:lmao: . It's hilarious how stupid some of those fools are.

Same here.

It's the 2nd worst kept secret in the NFL behind Sparano going to Miami.

Mora was a bad coach in Atlanta. Forget Vick, Mora couldn't control any of his players and it was pretty chaotic there. He's one of those guys that is better suited for the NCAA game.

I don't remember him losing control of the players. I thought DeAngelo Hall and the other guys kept mostly quiet with Mora in control while this season Petrino couldn't handle them. Plus, he was in a tough position with Vick because Vick was Blank's guy, so Mora probably didn't have as much influence over Vick as he would have had on any other team.

I could just see the Press Conference introducing Mora Jr.

"This is a great opportunity for me and I would like to say that... my father taught me many things... he taught me "playoffs..... what?.... hmmph.... playoffs?.... dont talk about playoffs"

So I think with that said that Mora Jr is perfect for the Skins.
Just keep him away from any potential college Head Coaching position once you sign him :lmao2:

If the Skins dont hire Gregg Williams I would want Jim Mora Jr. or Russ Grimm. Jim Mora was a solid head coach for a up and down Falcons team led by a QB in Vick who was really overrated. Im still shocked he got them to a NFC Title Game with Vick at QB. I always thought Mora was a damn good Head Coach and I think he has the character and leadership to turn the Skins around. That said Gregg Williams is the man and I see him being named Head Coach as early as Friday afternoon and no later then Monday.

So, who do you think Williams and Snyder will get to be the offensive coordinator, when Saunders leaves??

Cam Cameron probably... If Saunders leaves.

Say what you will about Snyder, he always gets who he wants.

Thats not really fair Bear ..... I mean Davis had already played for one cardinals team ..... why would he want to go to the NFC easts new cardinals team?

Apparently Adam Shefter thinks the Skins job is Mora's to lose. He does NOT think that Greggggggg Williams will get it.

There is SO much speculation running rampant. I mean at one point some medidiot proclaimed Schwartz as the "front-runner" despite him being the only person to interview.

I can't say for certain Williams will get it, but I put NO credibility in any of the reports coming from so-called "league sources."

I just want this rampant rumor-mongering and half- reporting to be over.
