Did the loss via injury of J.Schockey either force Eli M. or even "allow" Eli Manning to improve as a QB.......
It seemed to be the point in time where everyone thinks the Gints "got hot", turned the corner.
They had lost to the Cowboys on week 10, and the Vikes in week 12.......not exactly sure which game Schockey got hurt.......but some wrote the Gints off at that point.....
My take is that the injury to Schockey was the best thing to happen to the Gints and Eli.......

Interesting theory.
Maybe if Romo lost Whitten in the playoffs.....Romo would have played better?

I was one that thought losing Shockley would make a lot more difference then it has.

Ya, but Witten is not the "me 1st " type of player that i view Schockey as...
Boss gives them more than enough at TE, but Toomer seemed to step up,
Just seemed Eli then able to spread it around evenly alot more........
Just seemed like things came together for the Gints and Eli all about the same time, which coincided w/ Schockey injury
Eli started limiting his turnovers, and the receivers started catching ball more
Gints led NFC and NFL(?) in drops this year
Granted the Spagnola scheme and the Def also stepped up

This reminds me of how we improved after losing Irving that one time.

I think they got better without Shockey because he is an undisciplined hothead that is more trouble than he's worth. When Boss came in he gave them what they needed, someone who will run the play as called and not do anything stupid.
Sure he is talented , but when you constantly freelance and do things to set your team back, whats your talent worth?

Actually a Giants writer (as a guest) that was on a fox or espn radio do not remember which show about a month ago talked about this and said it helped out Eli so much because he did not have to deal with shockey screaming for the ball all the time and that Shockey free lances to much causing Eli issues. So basically addition by subtraction

Uh, last time I saw, its called CowboysZone.com
I was a huge fan of Emitt Smith and Troy Ainkman back in the day. I think we are close to getting that trio re-established with Romo, Barber, and Owens....

I know.
I just hope you realize that I purposely spelled Witten "Whitten" and that the reply with "Irving" was also done intentionally....
In reference to the spelling of Jeremy Schockey.
