Here is my draft picks and Free Agent pick up..
1. a) Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin
1. b) Antrel Rolle, CB, Miami (FL)
2. Pierre Woods OLB
4. Mike Patterson, U.S.C.
Free Agents
Kendrell Bell MLB
I personally think we should either stress our strong side as DE or DB
why have weak links?
I would far rather have a real good secondary and an ok D line rather than split around the field with a bad DB, good DB, good DE, bad DE

Given the way Favre carved up our weak secondary, I say that a shutdown CB has to be our top priority with a run-stuffing DT as a secondary need (Antaj Hawthorne, DT Wisconsin). I like Erasmus James but we have to stop the run first.
The way that the Bills and Cowboys are playing, it's looking like we could have two of the top five picks in next year's draft and thus, our choice of blue-chip players. :o

Wow, that draft looks like a JJ/BP draft but I don't think thats what we should shoot for. If Antrel is available, he should be our 1a pick. Why should we let someone else have a shot at him after we already have? There are several top teams that need a CB just as badly as we do. I can tell you that James will not go that high. He missed most of last year with an injury, and is missing time with an injury right now. NFL scouts take note of things like that. Pierre Woods would be a major reach for this year in the second round. He is about the #5 Jr OLB in the country not to mention all of the seniors about him. Patterson wouldn't do our front 4 much good, he is too much like Glover. He is small and quick, great at getting into the backfield but isn't going to take up blockers and improve our run D a whole great lot like we need.

Kendrell Bell lost his job in PIT to Larry Foote, but he was NFL rookie defensive player-of-the-year in '01. The Steelers don't often go wrong in drafting LB's so Bell might just be a good reclamation project waiting to happen. He's a lot bigger than Dat Nguyen and therefore might prove more effective against the run.

There's only been one shutdown corner in NFL history...Deion.
That term is way over used.

I'm flip-flopping this whole d*mn stratagy the Cowboys have going on now. I build the offense through the draft, specifically both those #1's next year, then I hope Drew is our savior. At very least, I hope we come out of that first round next year with Mike Williams. We need atleast one pivit point to start building that offense around and prefferabbly one under 30.
The defense can be pieced together much like the offense is now. Although I wouldn't be against snagging Rolle if we could. Then we'd have 3 quality young players in the secondary.
I'm syked though, we very well could have 2 top 10 picks!! Lets pray to god we don't waste them.
