We're all freaking addicts and it is the only fix until the Draft.

I wondered what you're all going to eat and how many people are invited to wherever you're going to be watching.

About 10 people are invited to my house. I'm doing BBQ pork ribs seasoned with bell pepper, jalapeņos, red onion, and lemon, cole slaw, deviled eggs, and then of course chips and all the regular crap.

If you are doing any kind of BBQ, what sauce are you using? I am using Famous Dave's hot version called Devil's Spit.

deviled eggs

A very inspired and underrated choice. Excellent.

No party for me, but I'll watch the game.

FWIW, my favorite store-bought BBQ sauce is Stubbs.

Nothing as extravagant as Hostile's BBQ. But I am going with my Super Bowl Queso Dip. Also throw in some pizza croissant rolls, Chex party mix, Little Smokies, and of course... a case of beer (Miller Lite - proud sponsor of the Dallas Cowboys) for me and the boys, and some fruity drinks for my wife and the other ladies who will be attending.

Let us not forget that I will be adorning my authentic, white, Tony Romo jersey. Because dangit, it should be the Cowboys and not the Gnats that are playing against the Cheaters.

I would steer away from Rambo. Just looks pathetic in my opinion. A 50+ year old dude in the rain forest killing people just doesn't seem too real in my opinion.

On the other hand, Cloverfield is an amazing movie if you ask me. Saw it last weekend with the wife. After the movie, nobody said a word, just got up and left with blank looks on their face.

I'll have the Puppy Bowl on while working around the house. Call it super whatever, but I have no interest in a repeat of the Giants and Pats game played just a few weeks ago.

Besides they're awarding an MVP (most valuable puppy) this year and I want to get my bets down early. The drama is already building.

Not entirely correct. The TV will be on for the commercials and so I can keep up with the score. A much bigger fix (for me anyways) will be the scouting combine in a couple of weeks. I'll watch every second of that.

Not interested in the game whatsoever.

Taking the family skiing to Banff for most of the day. Coming home and going to my parents for dinner and a visit.

I may look at the ticker for a final score just out of curiosity, but that's it. I don't care about the highlights, players interviews or pundits breakdown of the game. I'd rather read a good book or work out instead.

That's a much better day than watching the friggin' Patriots and the friggin' Giants, IMO.

I won't watch. Every time I see one of those NY mugs, I want to vomit.

That's our game....we should be there.

Yes, I know it sounds like sour grapes...yes, I know the Giants deserve to be there.

But it doesn't change the fact that we're the best team in the NFC that got caught at the right time.

I won't watch another pro game until August pre-season.

I have to say I'm a little dissapointed with you here HOS.

True Cowboy fans can not and should not watch this abberration, this abbomination. This game was not meant to be.
It's a fluke and its not the true championship of Pro Football for the 2007.

Cowboys vs Patriots is the game we all should be watching this Sunday!
It's what was meant to be, had all the earmarks of a classic.

Cant believe you're watching!
Next thing you'll tell me is you watched SF vs Cinn 1982!

In week 8 of the season, I got absolutely plowed one night with a friend of mine at the bar during the week....

We started talking football. I was convinced Dallas was going to the Super Bowl and was going to meet the Patriots.

As always beer + drunk Vintage = stupid bets.

I made him a bet that the Patriots would lose a game this season. Playoffs or regular season. He said the Patriots would go undefeated. The bet was a handle of Captain Morgan.

I tell you this because you asked me what I will be doing on Super Sunday.

I will be going to the liquor store to buy a handle of captain and some coke. We'll kill the handle as we watch the game. I will watch the Giants get absolutely ****ed in every orafice.

At some point, I may find my way onto the innernets.

I will try not to.

A couple buddies went and saw Rambo and recommended it solely on the level of gratuitous violence - Including a disembowelment! They say its more or less non-stop action and that Stallone himself has few lines in it. Seems like a good way to waste a couple of hours if bloody mayhem is your thing.

As far as the Super Bowl goes...Honestly, I will watch it, but I won't be making an event of it like I would be had we (or even the Packers) gone there...It'll be a totally different animal now that "that team" is playing. The last hurrah for the season, but not too different than any other weekend of football for me personally.

Those ribs are already sounding pretty **** good though Hos!

No, I won't.

The last superbowl I watched was the Oakland/Tampa Bay game.

The only thing I'm anxious to watch this sunday is the special episode of House, the one Mira Sorvino is guest starring in.

As far as I'm concerned, the off season has already begun.

After the Cowboys are eliminated, I need a grace period to recover.

My bitterness knows no bounds.

Will not watch playoff rounds/games I believe in my heart they should be participating in.

Missed Superbowls 14,15,16,17,26,29,31

Did watch Championship weekend and SB the last two years, but none of the earlier playoff games.

This year I hit the rip cord Jan 13th 3:30pm est.

Only watching the Probowl because of the unusually high number of Cowboys participating. I do think that game will be somewhat theroputic and should have a lot of positive Cowboy talk for 2008 season.

Ive really been enjoying the reairs the NFLN has had this week. Getting to rewatch the Rams Vs. Patriots game where the Rams were heavily favored. The Bills vs Giants in SB25 with Parcells. I think tonight they are replaying Dolphins pursuit of perfection against Washington.

Actually Hos, I haven't watched a SB since SB 30... that was the last time a team worth watching was in it... I do not watch playoff games when the Cowboys are out of the tournament as no team out there is worth my precious time to devote to watching what to me is a meaningless game with inferior teams... might as well be numbnuts knucklebusters vs. pansy patty panties... it holds just as much meaning to me... it isn't good NFL football without the Cowboys nor can it be a "super" bowl without the Cowboys.

I enjoy College Football because I have no team I follow that closely and I enjoy the atmosphere of the game...Same can be said about HS football down to Pop Warner.

The NFL is full of primadonna's from the commish down to the waterboy and it is no longer about the game as it is the peripheral things...so no I don't really enjoy the game the way I use to and if not for my love of the Cowboys I am not sure I would watch the NFL at all.

Depends on the season.
2004 I watched all the Playoff games I could.
2005 when we justed missed the playoffs,
I couldn't watch the first two rounds.

I also love watching the classic games.
I've seen highlight shows on all the past SB's I've boycotted.

To all the bitter fans:

I would be able to see your point if there was a clear referee bias or some other concrete reason "Dallas should be in this game". As much as I hate the Giants, the reality of the matter is that they beat us fair and square. Our team self-destructed because we depended on an idiot like Patrick Crayton to help on offense. It's not like the Giants really had to cheat with Spygate and Mike Vrabel-esque leg swipes on opposing QBs to get there. If the week 17 meeting was any indication, this will be a great FOOTBALL game, and obviously the commercials are very entertaining and fun to watch so sack up and enjoy some football for the last time until August!

In my case, it has nothing to do about being bitter. I am a huge football fan and watch the highlights of every team in the NFL throughout the season. I've also watched all the playoff games and will watch all the offseason goodness as well. I just do not have any love/excitement watching this particular matchup, and I think alot of other football fans are very disappointed as well. The Patriots have shown that they are the cream of the crop of the AFC but the Giants are not the best team in the NFC.

The best team does not always go to the SB. I do give the Giants credit they had a hard road to go down to make it so while I don't think they are exactly the best team in the NFC I do think they are a very good team and shows that maybe the NFC East is not as weak as some think. As I said I'm not knocking anyone if you have better things to do than watch the game I just don't know many hardcore football fans who blow off the biggest game the NFL has to offer.

Bam!! throw it at me. Always looking for a new way of doing ribs.Get a cookie sheet and aluminum foil. Put the ribs on the foil with the tips down and the bowed side up. Season them with fresh ground pepper and seasoning salt. Slice a red onion, a lemon, a bell pepper, and some pickled jalapeños and spread them on top of the ribs in even portions. Squeeze a lemon over the whole slab. Wrap the ribs in the foil as tightly as you can. Cook them in the oven for 6 hours at 200 degrees. Open the foil and scrape the onions, jalapeños and bell peppers into a bowl as a side dish. Spread on your favorite BBQ sauce. Dig in. The meat will fall off the bone it is so tender.

You must be a cooking fool. I just printed out both of your recipe.I learned how to cook from the last of the real chuckwagon cooks. No joke, he had a horrible looking black Dutch oven pot that the best food I have ever eaten came out of like magic.

On fishing trips with him he had a divider that he put in the pot that he had made. He'd cook beans in one section, potatos and onions in another, and salisbury steak in the 3rd. Then on the lid he'd make sourdough biscuits. He was an artist. I swear when the God's on Mt. Olympus got sick of pizza they ordered some of Hosea's food. I can make just about any kind of Dutch oven cobbler than you can imagine.

Damn I need to go camping.

I could outcook my wife when we first got married. Now she kicks my tail.

Oh, the ribs recipe works for the grill, but since it is usually hotter, cook it less time.

I'm quite bitter and I'm man enough to admit it! Anyone that knows me knows that I love football but for some reason after our exit my love has waned, big time! This is the first time I've felt this terrible after a playoff loss...not even "The Catch" or 1994 kept me away from the Super Bowl! Oh well, there's always the PS3 & 360 to occupy my time!!

I'm not watching this game. I haven't watched or listened to any football related topics since the Giants game. Only visited this forum to read up about the draft.

I have better things to do, like WORKOUT! Why waste 3 hours to have no emotion afterwards.

Who cares bout the Giants or Patriots....

The milk thing was hilarious...

I also liked the part where House actually ended up in Church...it was a good way to end the show IMO.

Yeah I was expecting him to go see a donkey show. They threw a curve ball at me. :D

I agree it hurts. I refused to watch any highlights or listen to sports news for a few days after the Cowboy loss. Unfortunately losing is part of sports I have dealt with that when I played sports and I deal with it as a fan but in the end I still love the game and while I'm not exactly crazy about the Pats or the Giants I think this has a chance to be a good and entertaining game. I'll pull for the Giants but win or lose will not be a big deal to me.

Not hard really. Hard boil the eggs. Cut them in half and scoop out the yolk. Mash the yolks in a mixing bowl with some mayo and mustard. Refill the yolk hole and sprinkle on some paprika.

I like to mix in Tabasco sauce sometimes too. Makes them great.

My mother-in-law throws in a little sweet pickle relish, too. Yummy!

I'm watching the SB.

So for everyone who will spend time on Sunday watching grass grow, painting base boards, spending time with the wife and children, or counting sand on the beach, cheers to you. Your not going to miss anything important. You will be back here on Monday morning clicking your pain away and venting your frustrations.

The only reason I'm not joining you is because I don't live near a beach and my yard has no grass and I just finished painting my house.

The deviled eggs are served.

We're all freaking addicts and it is the only fix until the Draft.

I wondered what you're all going to eat and how many people are invited to wherever you're going to be watching.

About 10 people are invited to my house. I'm doing BBQ pork ribs seasoned with bell pepper, jalapeños, red onion, and lemon, cole slaw, deviled eggs, and then of course chips and all the regular crap.

If you are doing any kind of BBQ, what sauce are you using? I am using Famous Dave's hot version called Devil's Spit.

lol im not watching. i might tune in here and there, but i really cant watch more then a few plays at a time to any nfl game where dallas isnt playing. just gives me no interest.

maybe if kelly winslow was playing, he;s one of my favorite players.

Going to watch the game with my parents and sisters on their big screen tv. We are going to have sloppy joes, fried potatoes, cabbage, chips, dip, and pigs in a blanket. Also will have soft drinks and beer. And we will be cheering for the Giants to beat the Cheats.

I have nothing against the Giants. Not a team on my short hate list. Not claiming a conspiracy or out right bias, but we did come out on the short end on officiating BIG TIME.
The fact that we didnt play our best doesnt make it ok that we got screwed!

The 2007 Cowboys were destine to be in Arizona.

What is sad,

The Romo lights it up past 2 years, and gags in playoffs

And Manning gets it done in playoffs after bad season.

So true. Tho I dont think you can blame it all on Romo this time, but he was more apart of the problem than the solution.

Atta boy! The only difference between our two parties is that I'm hosting the party with my wife. Her parents are coming over who happen to be big Steeler fans, as well as my wife. Also, there will be a few other friends to add to the party.

I too will be wearing my Romo jersey. Eating chips and dip, hot dogs and kraut, pizza croissant rolls, and a veggie tray.

Let's not forget the beer. I may get a little toasty to say the least.

Have a great time Crazy, and be safe.

I won't watch cheaters. The refs will ensure the Patriots win anyways like they have all year (See Colts, Ravens, Eagles, and Giant). So what's the point? From the articles I've been reading on how long they've been cheating, I'm beginning to think all their Superbowls should be stripped away.

I also have no interest in watching the other team that's not even half as good as Dallas.

How can any Dallas fan look at Eli's face and not vomit? Little man-child spoiled brat who managed to not lose 3 games for his team in his usual fashion.... I'm actually happy that he's put blinders on the truth that he's horrible. Best thing for Dallas is that they never replace him.

Blah!

You said the refs will ensure the Pats win. While I'll admit they get plenty of favorable calls, that was far from the case against Indy.

A friend of mine rents a private room with open bar, catered food, pool table, darts, etc. He does this every year and I always say I won't go if the Boys play, because I don't need the distractions and want to watch the game.

I'm going again this year, heck I won the stupid box pool last year.

I'd rather watch the game home alone on the 55" HD TV, but alas I'll be playing pool, darts and eating. Might look up when I hear a cheer.

I'm basically between the two teams geographically, so I hate all of my friends :)

If we had played our best not even the refs could have stolen it from us. If we did not play our best then the refs would have gotten us anyway. Manning did not have one single turnover in 3 playoff games. THAT is what is remarkable. He has been a turnover machine all his career. I refuse to beleive that he can keep it up.
