I always heard that God loved stupid people and children.
Isn't Eli both? How can you stop that?
Just kidding. They were certainly the better team today. I can't stand the Giants (or that Pats, for that matter), but they earned that one today.

Are you kidding???
I wold give 10 picks for a Super Bowl. Am I saying he is the only one responsible...no
There is no way knowing what you know now can say that giving up three picks was not worth it. Would they have won with Phillip Rivers? Maybe or maybe not.
We know for fact as of tonight that they could win with Eli. He played a heck of a playoffs and a Super Bowl. Perfect, not hardly, but in the end he holds a Lombardi and he was not just riding coattails in doing so.

you can win w/ pretty much any QB who doesn't screw the pooch
Eli was this postseason and SB what most of us hate to hear
a ****ing bus-driver, I'm sorry, I didn't see the greatness from Eli that many are proclaiming, he's an inconsistent QB who has his moments, it's how his career has been
w/o this D, the Giants don't win, simple as that

When he escaped the Pats d-line on that last drive and threw the long pass.....that was greatness.
Sorry guys....but anybody that isn't impressed with Eli right now is in denial or just stupid.

Eli played good, but the Giants D won this game for them.
And that escape can be deemed luck. He rarely ever does that. And he just threw it up after the fact.

W/O a 82 yard drive that ends with a TD with only a few minutes remaining the Giants do not win the Super Bowl. Simple as that too.

Trent Dilfer did as much as he did, made some plays and rode his defense
My bad you're right.
A 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, and 5th round pick were definitely not worth a Super Bowl win.
We in Dallas all know how easy it is to find a QB, even a bus driving one for that matter. How long was it between Aikman and Romo.
How well did Vinny and Bledsoe do? Not to mention Carter and the likes. Nope. 3 picks definitely not worth a Super Bowl. You win Bob...you win.

did we have a D like the Giants? one that made it hellish for an opposing QB
guess which team had that today?
do you really think that Eli was the better QB, or that it was the Giant D who was a bit more disruptive tonight?
Eli became a legend today, Bobby. It sucks.....but it's true.
in Eli's own mind, which I'm sure you wish you were in
I don't see why that should cause you to project your homosexual tendencies onto anybody else.....what with all this talk about oral sex and anal stuff in your signature.
my sig is a joke, do you know what glaucoma is?

You are just being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn now.
First of all you assume that bus drivers are easily found. How well did that theory work for Dallas?
Would you or would you not give up a 1st round, 3rd round and 5th round for a Super Bowl right now?

I told you why that didn't work out for Dallas, they didn't have a team for the QB to drive
the Giants did tonight

I'd give my heart and lungs for a Super Bowl
but the fact of the matter is, Eli still hasn't lived up to the investment IMO
the D won for them tonight, not Eli, he did what he was supposed to as a QB

is he a bust? no, was he worth the investment? nope either

How can you say he is not worth the investment? Call it what you will but throughout the playoffs this season he only threw one INT, and that one was not his fault.
He was not perfect never said he was. Never said he is the next great thing. Nope not that either. The Giants parlayed a 1st, 3rd and 5th into a QB who was good enough to not screw it up as you say.
The Giants defense as good as they were, let the Patriots take the lead with a 2:40 something left in the game.
Somebody had to come in there and lead the team down for a TD or that great Giants defensive effort you keep talking about means absolutely nothing.

the Giants simplified the game-plan for him, you don't do that for your franchise QB

so that's what it takes to get a QB who can do that much:rolleyes:

a 3-point lead, they let them score 14 points, that was probably less than what New England averaged a quarter
Somebody had to come in there and lead the team down for a TD or that great Giants defensive effort you keep talking about means absolutely nothing.
lol, if Tyree doesn't catch that prayer, the game is probably done
the Giant D played way above expectations, Eli did not, this was his level, solid, yet unspectacular throughout the postseason, Giant D won the day

Bobby....Eli played a great, great game. He just won the freaking Super Bowl against a team many consider to be the best EVER.
That play on the last drive where he escaped the sacks will go down in history and you are gonna see it over and over again for the rest of your life. Let that sink in.
Take your Eli pill, man. I know it's hard to swallow but you need to take it. The dude played a great game today.

Funny how you talk about the great catch Tyree made, but no mention of the fact that Eli did an amazing job of avoiding a sure sack.
Regardless, all the things you are talking about are not even relevant. We all know that a football team is a complex puzzle with the QB being right at the top when it comes to important pieces.
The Giants gave up what they gave up to get Eli and Eli did a very solid job throughout the playoffs which ultimately led to a Lombardi.
All your spin is just that. I am sure right now the Giants are lamenting that they gave up a 1st, 3rd, and 5th round pick for Eli right now as we speak.

takeaway the Giant D, say they play an average game, do the GIant's win? I don't see how that is irrelevent
you attributing the win to Eli because he was the QB, is laughable
The Giants gave up what they gave up to get Eli and Eli did a very solid job throughout the playoffs which ultimately led to a Lombardi.
but my point is that they didn't need to spend a 1st, 3rd and 5th on a QB who can drive the bus
All your spin is just that. I am sure right now the Giants are lamenting that they gave up a 1st, 3rd, and 5th round pick for Eli right now as we speak.
it's not about lamenting the decision, it's about being worth it, I don't think it is, you don't need to go to extreme lengths and attribute an argument to me
we have disagreed on many issues when it comes to QB, you think 1st round picks there are needed to win Super Bowls, I feel that the QB you select, and how he's coached and developed are more important, it's whatever
that's it, I'm done talking about Elisha and the Gspots, I'm looking to what the Cowboys are going to do

Anytime a QB is about to get sacked they are running for their life. He was about to get sacked and managed to not get sacked. You are further proving your hatred or bias.
I am saying what the Giants D is irrelevant if Eli does not lead the Giants to their final D. Who would care what the Giant D did, because the Patriots would be hosting the Lomabardi.
I did not say Eli was solely responsible for the win. Obviously the Giants D played a heck of a game. Again, tell me again what would have happened if Eli did not lead the Giants to the endzone for their final TD?
How do you know any QB could have led the Giants to a win? You know Eli only threw 1 INT this entire playoff season. How do you know some other QB would not have thrown that extra INT which, due to the tight games the Giants have been involved in this postseason, would not meant defeat? QBs are usually measured for how they perform under pressure. Can you name a more pressure packed situation than by having to score a TD in the Super Bowl with less than 3 minutes on the clock with 82 yards to go?
