Telling Stats

I think that these are the 2 most telling stats in regards to what is wrong with this team.

Scoring Offense - 21st
Total Defense - 25th
Defense (3rd Down Conversion) - 28th
Time of Possession - 25th

Also, 4th quarter scoring (for and against). I don't have a stat available to me on that one....but we are at the bottom there as well. I'm 99.9% sure that our 4th quarter scoring is worse than our total scoring rating.

The rushing offense and TOP, IMO, is a result of poor defense. We are trying to pay catchup to often to allow us to play ball control.

I think the most tellling stat is simply that in 4 games out of 6 the opponent scored more points than we did. ;)

your numbers are close.

We were outscored 44 to 10 in the 4th quarter over the first 5 games. This would have continued yesterday if not for the fact that GB was coasting by the time the 4th quarter came around. I actually think they were starting to feel embarrassed for Dallas.

just for clarification....i was right (for once...haha)

we were outscored 34-0 in the three LOSSES in the 4th quarter.

now it's 34-7.

at any rate...the point is a great one. we SUCK in the 4th quarter.
