• Jerome Stanley, Keyshawn Johnson's agent, said Tuesday the ESPN analyst continues strongly to consider a comeback and has discussed the Dolphins as a possibility. Word is he wants to decide by mid-March.
WFOR-4 reported Johnson's former coach, Dolphins executive Bill Parcells, would be receptive to the ex-receiver making a comeback here. Johnson, 35, had 70 catches for 815 yards in his last season (with Carolina in 2006).

Keyshawn Johnson In Aqua And Orange?
Parcells Reaches Out To His Former Player
Reporting
Jim Berry
(CBS4)

Dolphins Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells is telling Keyshawn Johnson that if he un-retires he can have a job in Miami. Sources are telling CBS4 Sports that Parcells is reaching out to his former receiver in New York and Dallas about possibly joining the Dolphins.

Johnson worked with Parcells at ESPN in 2007 as a football analyst after being waived by the Carolina Panthers before the 2007 season.

Parcells coached Johnson with the Jets from 1997-1999 and later with the Cowboys from 2004-2005. He spent four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in which he was part of the team that won Super Bowl XXXVII.

Johnson was the overall number one pick of the Jets in 1996 coming out of USC. In his eleven seasons in the NFL, Johnson made three Pro Bowls, caught 814 passes for 10, 571 yards, and 64 touchdowns.

Actually he was a jerk when he was with Dallas too. I remember a few ridiculous unsportsmanlike penalties against him. He was a playmaker, though, no doubt about it.

Why is Parcells able to pick the players?

Why is the league allowing Parcells to pretend that he is not the GM and Coach?

would win more than 1 game for Dolphins.

But he won't answer the phone and is retired for good.

I love this story, I mean you gotta love the most overrated coach of all time reunited with the most overrated WR of all time. Wait, I should not insult the really so called smart dallas fans on this board who loved key when he was with the boys for his blocking skills and tough 6 yard over the middle catches. Pathetic really.

Have a ball winning 2 games next year Key. Maybe he could wear that rediculous scarf during games he had on at the SB and it would add some excitement to their games.

No, he doesn't. In fact, I challenge you to name one QB he's 'groomed'. Just one. And don't say Tom Brady, because Brady was already leagues above Bledsoe when he came into the NFL.

Brady was a 7th round pick when he came into the NFL and Bledsoe had been to a Super Bowl. I disagree.

Yeah, Bledsoe really mentored Romo... He barely talked to Tony.

Now Vinnie, that's a different story. Romo's squat went up 50 pounds just being in the same room with him.

I am really hopeful Key will attempt a comeback. Anything to get him off my TV is a step in the right direction. ESPN would have to replace Key and BP for next season. How can that be considered a bad thing?

Brady was a 7th round pick when he came into the NFL and Bledsoe had been to a Super Bowl. I disagree.

Sixth round actually and so what? What round a player is drafted in means absolutely nothing, except to you people who care about some sort of imaginary 'pedigree'.

What round was Romo drafted in? Yeah, so I guess Bledsoe is a better QB than Romo?

And Bledsoe had been to a Superbowl eh? On the bench... big frickin deal.

The Pillsbury throwboy on the Giants has been to a Superbowl in the same capacity. Means about as much as Bledsoe going to one.

He was the NE QB when they lost to GB.

Hey, he woulda been more productive than Terry Glenn was last year. I always thought we got rid of the wrong guy there. Keyshawn would still be playing for us and putting up admirable numbers as a possession guy and had been a target you just know Romo would've fell in love with, with his size and hands.

He's not going to be lights out and give the Dolphins a #1 receiver, but he will do the dirty work and put up decent numbers, even at his ripe ole age. I like the notion of this move, good for the Dolphins, though unneeded for Keyshawn really.

And he was the reason they lost the game. The guy threw, I believe, 2 bone-headed interceptions.
