Man it's a shame the Eagles would never trade us a good player because we are division rivals, but he would be a good fit with us because he is so young.

Yea but they traded with us in 2 of the last 3 drafts. It's possible, but we'd have to give them a lot

I guess the major problem other than it might be hard to trade for one of the Eagles best players is that he might be to expensive or to good to be a 3rd CB unless we moved Henry to the nickle.

Unless you make Henry a part of the trade................................

Henry would definately move if we somehow got Lito.

Time to play a bit of Madden:
why don't we trade Roy for Lito and move Henry to FS. Than resign Hamlin and let him play SS.

No thanks, we already have an injury prone DB... A. Henry can't stay on the field and now bring in another guy who's always hurt?

The Eagles are denying an ESPN report that they've granted CB Lito Sheppard permission to seek out a trade.
"Any reports that suggest we have allowed Lito or his agent to seek a trade are absolutely and undeniably false," a team spokesperson said. However, a Philadelphia reporter who spoke with Sheppard Monday says the former Pro Bowler planned to approach the Eagles about a new contract this offseason. If Sheppard didn't get it, he reportedly planned to request a trade.

I went to their offical website, when the rumor first came out and didn't see anything on him being traded.

I would move Henry to a CB#3/FS postion and Sheppard to starter immediately. I can't imagine any scenero where it would be a problem having to many good CB's in this pass happy league.

This is why we can't believe everything ESPN is spewing out. Derrick Gunn of Comcast Sportsnet asked Lito Sheppard about the rumor that he was being shopped by the Eagles, and Lito thought Gunn was joking with him (http://philadelphia.comcastsportsnet.com/view_content_0p.asp?ID=62496). Sheppard's contract runs through 2011, and according to Gunn he has every intention of making things work in Philly. A team spokesman went on to say that "any reports that suggest we have allowed Lito or his agent to seek a trade are absolutely and undeniably false".
Another interesting part to the article is that Lito feels like he has outplayed his contract, and he will ask the Eagles for a new contract. The Eagles won't give him a new contract, so that could lead to Lito requesting a trade.
The only way the Eagles would consider moving Lito would be if they were guaranteed to land a defensive back like Asante Samuel in free agency. There is no way they would be able to know if Samuel would sign with them until free agency starts, which is 11 days away.
The rumors concerning the Eagles are flying. One thing is for sure, we know that the Birds are looking to improve this team one way or another. They should be looking into all of the available options, hoping that one of them pans out. The front office should be doing its due diligence to ensure they can acquire whatever talent they can to help the team. Moving a guy like Lito Sheppard, while probably a bad idea, would be a move that would help free up money for another player. I can't wait to see what other crazy rumors come out in the next few days.

Another Eagles rumor. I like Lito, a lot, but I can not picture any actual scenerio where they'd move him and especially not to Dallas.
