...that when BrownSugar gives us insightful, "positive" things about the Cowboys, everyone on this board is singing her praises.
But when she introduces information that places a cloud upon the team, some turn chameleon on her and begin to think that her initials, B.S., are indeed an acronymn descriptive of her information.
It is VERY plausible that there is bad Karma on the team over Quincy Carter. Don't forget...Jerry and Co. apparently tried to re-sign Carter within days of his release.
Some of you guys need to get real on this board!

Not bashing or hating, but I have heard that on another forum. I asked where that person heard it and it was top secret I guess. Who is saying this?
Thnx.

Everything concerning Quincy is top secret, well except for the fact that he sucked.

To answer your question......Agenda's?
It was michael Irvin who made the statement on NFL Countdown only to have what's his name come on and say that they didn't.
Personally, I'll take the word of a former player with connections still on the team over a media pundit anyday.

Nope, like I said it wasnt the first time I have heard it.
No one was willing to answer it when asked, that usually means it didnt happen. Thats all Thnx for the answer though.
Personally, I think it's silly for the players to remain in some sort of hangover because of Quincy's departure. The quarterback play hasn't been this team's downfall, so it's not like we're sitting here with a Craig Krenzel starting every week and giving us no chance to win. It's been the defense and the running game most responsible for our team's dismal start.
But with that said, I don't doubt BrownSugar's information at all. Her track record is practically pristine. If she's hearing this, then there's obviously something to it.

Is this true?
I never heard this. How did it not happen?
Mentioning Irvin, he was/is very upset with the cowboys for cutting carter.
I do not think it is far fetched to think it has affected team chemistry. It sure took the wind out of my sails.

Mortenson was who said it was false.

There you go, thanks. I couldn't think of his name for the life of me.

I agree. I don't doubt someone on the team said it. I just find it sad that it would be used as an excuse because it is extremely unprofessional and immature.
Things happen on teams. Good players move on and get tehir jobs done rather than look for a cosmic rhyme or reason.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. :p

That's it. A professional football player needs to have a short memory when it comes to adverse situations. It doesn't matter if it's something that happens on or off the field. If you let the past hold you back or distract you from the present and the future, then you're as much the problem as whatever may have transpired.

I never liked Ricky Watters. Couldn't stand him. If he fumbled a ball in a game it took the entire team 5 minutes to calm him down. Meanwhile no one's head is in the game. They're busy coddling a spoiled brat.
Football is a business. Either you can take care of your business or you can't.
Those who can't move on need to take up another profession. I hope they make their feelings known and get shown the gate too.

Brown Sugar wrote it and I have no doubt the player said it. He was just expressing his own opinion and not necessarily speaking for the whole team. Still it does indicate possible rifts on the team and they need to come together and talk about the issues bothering them and get them resolved and get unified again.
Right now this just a bunch of NFLPA union members hanging around a practice facility - they need to get the feeling of being a team and learn to play together. It's hard to build any camaraderie when there are so many new faces and so many revolving doors. A team has to be more than just a bunch of people standing around. This isn't a team right now.

is this a "thread review" thread? did somebody throw the red hanky? will hostile climb under the cowl to see a replay of the original thread only to emerge one or two minutes later with his official ruling on it?

Boo hoo. Somebody lost their smoking buddy and is upset about it. The team is better off. They should move on and so should everyone here.
I seriously doubt Dallas tried to resign Carter. That would make absolutely no sense. They couldn't get him for a cheaper contract. He said himself the place he wanted to be was QB'ing the Cowboys after he was cut. Doesn't add up, I am not buying it.

It was reported in the media when he signed with the Jets that Dallas had been in contact with Carter's agent about a possible return. Whether it's true or not is another matter, but that's at least one source of the rumor.
