Texas also refines most of the gas you put in your car. Think about that next time you start your car or stop at the gas station.

It's the 8th largest CO2 producer, but it's the 11th largest economy in the world (if it were its own country), with most of that economy based on the production and refining of petroleum products.

Hmmm...makes sense to me.

I thought this was interesting:

Considering its role in the U.S. economy, it's no surprise Texas ranks as it does. As the nation's leading producer of energy, and with more cattle and oil refineries than any other state, it is essentially America's power plant, gas pump and beef basket. Yes, all those cows play a part. While many environmentalists focus on the methane (another greenhouse gas) produced by cows, the raising of cattle also contributes to CO2 emissions (the burning of fuel to transport cattle and meat, etc.). A study released last summer by Japanese scientists showed that production of just 1 kilogram of beef results in more CO2 emissions than going for a three-hour drive while leaving all the lights on at home. Texas also has the largest petrochemical industry in the country, which churns out a host of consumer products, everything from makeup to motor oil.

I knew this all the time.

After excreting Quincey Carter, Drew Henson and Chad Hutchinson, I knew Texas was the biggest polluter.

But Texas does get carbon credits for Tony Romo so he makes up for that.

:D

Just think about it this way man ...... Troy retired in 2000 ..... we got Tony in 2003.

He learned how to be an NFL QB for 3 years before he took over.

But we were really without a franchise QB for only 3 years ..... 2000-2003

How many teams would kill to be in that position?

Can I get in trouble for talking football in the political zone? or is it just visa versa? ;)

Technically 3 years, but we didn't see him play well for 6 years. So if you want to split hairs, 3 years.
