According to Mickey Spagnola, if Vinny plays 80% of the Cowboys offensive plays this year, his pay goes from $1.5 million to 3 or 4 million.

If the Cowboys continue along their current path, look for Henson to be starting by week 12.

As much as I'd LOVE to see Henson myself, I'd much prefer we start winning. I know it's not about this year, but I can't take the uglyness anymore.

henson's contract also has playing time clauses..... not sure what they are. but, I think him playing a certain amount, voides years off his contract.

Well, to save money and contracts (Henson I think is 15% of the plays voids him to a 4 year deal)...Looks like Romo will have to break up the mix to keep the other players from reaching their incentives.

Word is Tony Romo would start before Henson... per ESPN scouts inc.
they said that Parcells wouldnt want to give off the message that the season is over by putting in Henson...

But from what I know, if Henson plays anytime during first 3 years, thats the case. So this year or next year, its the same. Its not the same with Vinny.

The better reason for that would be to give Henson a bit more time to learn the offense before getting thrown in the fire, ad also answering once and for all (for our purposes) whether Romo is worth a roster spot or if he is another Jonathan Quinn.

If we end up with 7 losses, at that point we should put Romo in to see if we want him on the team during the offseason.

Since part of VT’s contract stipulates that if he’s under center for 80% of the snaps, his salary goes to something just over the three million range.

I think if Dallas gets to 2-6, or maybe even 3-8, Jones FORCES Parcells’ hand, and Henson starts there on in.
