I wanted to know from you guys what you think was a more boneheaded move by Mr davis. Was it signing kelly to a 7 yr 50 mil or signing walker to a 6 yr 55 mil its a close one i'll let all of you decide?

He is totally screwing up the salary cap structure and what players are going to expect to be paid.

Yup, and since he pooched the deal with Moss he's just trying to screw up anything possible.

the money some of these guys are getting is crazy. We couldn't have signed anyone of them. I think by resigning our players we have done the best job in FA. Flo would have been the #1 tackle, Barber would have been the #1 or 2 RB, Hamlin would have been the #1 Saftey. Plus Romo would have been the top QB. Technically they were already on our team, but they still had the ability to become FA if we didn't make wise decisions and lock them up. They can't miss too many in this draft because this is what our team will be in the future.

while hes raising the price, no team is going to be on par with what the raiders are paying to guys like walker.
He can only screw things up if other teams follow and start paying players the same and I just don't see that happening. At this point, I doubt any agent is going to use Al Davis as some sort of leverage because nobody else will pay that.
So, hes raising the price up but it won't throw everything out of wack because everyone knows how dumb Davis is being.

As Breer correctly and obviously pointed out, that Walker contract by Al Davis is just absurd...Unbelievable.
Pity the fools that remain Raider Nation faithful

Funny thing, I was thinking what you was thinking, but , I thought he would be worth just a million dollars because he's not an durable player, he was durable when he was with Green Bay and to sign him to this much money, priceless...

Now that Walker is with the Raiders, I wonder who, if anyone, Jones has his eye on?

I can't believe what they paid Walker. The Bronco's are saying he might need micro fracture surgery still. Either way even if that is not true how do you committ 17 illion in guaranteed money to him. I seriously thought that he would have to settle for the veterans minimum with some incentives built in. Were they even competing with anyone for him, or did they outbid themselves? Al DAVIS needs to be kidnapped by Raider Nation!

Al Davis knows his time is almost up, he may think that giving two un-deserving talents like Walker and Kelly a fortune, he may then get into Heaven through his charity.
