Anyone? I can rename the file, but can't change the artist/title. Anyone know how to do it?

That's the ID3/ID2/etc tags doing that (metadata). Should be changeable within the music player you're using.

I tried that with WMP, but couldn't do it. But the new player is different and I haven't figured out how to look into file settings (or whatever) yet.

Do you have Windows Media Player 11?

If so just drag all the songs you have into the library section of that and then you can right click on each song and it will say "Advanced Tag Editor" and you can do it in there.

Or

If you have Itunes do the same thing but I THINK it says ID3 or something along those lines when you right click on a song in the library.

Thanks, Air. That worked.

In Explore, right click the song, scroll down to the bottom and click on properties. Once you click on properties a little box will pop up with three tabs, click on the details tab. Here you will find all the information on the song; you will be able to change all of the details here.

Why exactly would you want to change the artist and title info??

Hmmm, sounds like you have a problem with your speakers... :D

Some of the songs that you download off of limewire or the likes dont have anything listed in there, or they are customized to some sorts.

Plus it is easier to sort through the songs :)

That didn't work. It showed the info, but it wasn't editable.

I wanted to cuz the artist info was blank on a lot of them. On my ipod I had a bunch of songs in the "Unknown" category but the song would be called "Pearl Jam - Jeremy" or whatever. It annoyed me so I fixed it. :D

Not at the walmart near me. HEB (not sure if you have those) sells it.
