• Pick No. 16: Arizona Cardinals select Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State

Pro analysis: Rodgers-Cromartie brings skill, height (6-2) and pedigree (he's the cousin of Chargers All-Pro Antonio Cromartie) to an Arizona secondary that needs all of it. With the Antrel Rolle experiment over — he's shifting to safety next to Adrian Wilson — Rodgers-Cromartie should step into a starting role in Arizona right away. And he'll quickly be tested. He'll face Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin in practice, then see Torry Holt, the pass-happy Seahawks and the 49ers' new Mike Martz offense in the NFC West. Welcome to the NFL.

College analysis: Rodgers-Cromartie dominated opponents in Division I-AA. Now the Tennessee State cornerback will be making the leap to NFL competition. He had 11 interceptions during his four-year career, including returning his two thefts as a senior for touchdowns. Rodgers-Cromartie also proved valuable on special teams, blocking eight kicks and recording six returns for scores.

• Pick No. 50: Arizona Cardinals select Calais Campbell, DE, Miami (Fla.)

Pro analysis: Campbell is long (6-8), but he might not be ideal as a DE in Arizona's 3-4 look. That said, he'll have plenty of opportunities to rush the passer in the pass-infatuated NFC West. He could start as a situational rusher and eventually progress into an every-down player in the 3-4.
