I think Richardson may be the better choice there. Edwards already tried VP on for size.

John Edwards is no different from any other political figure, every move is calculated and done for a specific reason (chiefly for their own gain).

Of course he does... and it would be a mistake for Obama to choose him...

I do think that one of the reasons Edwards endorsed Obama today was to take media attention away from Clinton's win in West Virginia.
It may sound naive, but I do believe that Edwards is interested in unifying the party.

He's interested in being Vice President...

Bill Richardson was one of the better qualified candidates (either party). He would be a good choice.

Sure, Trick, that makes perfect sense.
But maybe these are not mutually exclusive motives. It is possible that he's sincerely interested in bringing the party together and that he'd like to be considered for the VP and/or a cabinet position.

Or maybe he's a self-serving arsehole that gets off on power... ;)

Edwards is such a lightweight. I would laugh so hard if Obama picked him to be his running mate.

I would have tears of joy in my eyes if he did.
But in the end it doesn't matter.
He will not win anyway.

Ouch. :)
In any event, I agree that he hasn't been a particularly likeable candidate.
He comes off as too prissy, IMO.

Gore and Kerry both lost those election themselves. Why do these Dem candidates seem so rude and pompous. These guys remind me of Duke & Duke from the movie "Trading Places".

I always felt is was Murphy's best movie...
"Those men wanted to have sex with me"....
The only part of the movie that sucked was the train scene where they dressed up. Way over the top. The rest had some classic lines...
