Clinton may take delegate fight to convention
By BRENDAN FARRINGTON, Associated Press Writer 9 minutes ago

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Hillary Rodham Clinton says she is willing to take her fight to seat Florida and Michigan delegates to the convention if the two states want to go that far. In an interview with The Associated Press, Clinton was asked whether she would support the states if they continue the fight.

The presidential candidate said Wednesday, "Yes I will. I will, because I feel very strongly about this."

Clinton is calling for delegates from both states to be seated at the convention based on the primaries. Both states were stripped of their delegates because they voted early, violating national party rules. Clinton won both states; Barack Obama's name wasn't on the Michigan ballot.

The DNC's rules committee will hear an appeal on May 31.

She's not getting far with this. Fl and MI's delegates are simply going to get split down the middle and that is how they will be seated at the convention.

Clinton will not be Obama's VP despite some of the wishful thinking the Dem elders are dreaming of. She will never be #2 to anyone.

This issue is going to hurt the Dems in Florida in the general election. If they are smart, they should include the delegates from both Florida and Michigan. I seriously doubt that seating these delegates will have any impact on who will be the nominee.

Alright, who didn't see this coming, take it all the way to the democratic convention. You go Girl! I'm behind you 100%, never mind I saw your behind, I'll stand by your side.
Split the party, make it happen.

I say count the votes. Florida and Michigan, should be counted, I don't care what the Democratic leadership said prior to primaries, pull the rug out from Barrick,
and yes, remeber we will all come back united to beat McCain, Do it! What Fairy Tale was this one? I don't remember it.:)

If Obama had won those states and was behind, he would be saying the same thing now. Politics 101

It does seem odd to decide a candidate without counting delegates from two of the most populous states. It would be like Canada deciding now to count Quebec's votes because they held an election a few days earlier than they were supposed to hold it.

I really think Hillary should take this all the way to November. I bet Gore even has a good lawyer or two he could recommend.

then i would be just as mad at obama.

i'm not mad at hillary cause she's hillary, i'm mad cause she'll play by the rules only as long as it doesn't hinder her and going back on her own word is far too easy for her to do.

if obama were doing this i'd be just as mad at him.

You're not thinking this the whole way through.

Sure, on the surface I would agree that FL and Mich should have their votes count. They're two very important states....and the rule the broke is sort of silly anyway.

But....

Pretty much all sides agreed that they would lose their delegates....So Obama and the other democrats didn't campaign much there...AANNNDD as was said earlier, Obama didn't even appear on the MI ballot.

Is that really a fair election? The guy that LEADs now wasn't even on the ballot?

Now, I would try to hold the election again if at all possible....

i would be pretty upset at the process if they did. but it would be very...democratic...in a 'never stand by what you say' fashion.

they knew the rules. they broke them. i'm sorry the process got interesting but there are no mulligans in the electorial process. you broke the rules, knew the price for doing so now shut up.

Why alienate voters of a state that you really need to win?
