Moral Values? How do you ask that question? Do you think moral values are very important? Uh...I guess?

“The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should.”
Well don't look for McCain to fix the Economy.

It would be interesting to hear John McCain's statement in its full context. The statement above sounds very misleading.

Any moron not knowing anything about the economy and just blindly making wild guesses at everything would probably leave the economy in tremendous shape when compared to what Obama would end up doing to it.

Just looking at what Obama said before becoming a candidate (when its much more likely he was telling something close to the truth) would scare anyone. And some of what he has said since then was worse.

You're right, I was awfully hard on the moron there. I'm sure the economy would be much better than tremendous in comparison.

Obama's Economic Brain Trust Breaks With `Status Quo' (Update1)
``They're all top-notch economists,'' said Greg Mankiw, a Harvard professor and former chief White House economist for President George W. Bush. ``Their views are left of the political center, as one would expect, but only slightly.''

Until gas prices stabilize or start coming down I think the economy is going to be in for a rough ride regardless of the President. Hate to say it but even Presidents and Government as a whole can only do so much for an economy. The economy of this country has always gone up and down regardless of the party in charge and I think it always will.

When Greenspan, with the happy cooperation of the congress and the whitehouse, started loosening up credit what happened became inevitable.
20 years ago the mortgage crunch would not have happened. We forgot that loosening credit is like a snowball going downhill and eventually it collapsed.
Add to that all the stupidity regarding energy and we are where we are now.
