Three Bills players and a high-ranking team official have been subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury looking into the hit-and-run accident involving Marshawn Lynch's SUV.

If Lynch had cooperated right away, this could have been avoided. The Buffalo News has reports that rookie WRs James Hardy and Steve Johnson and second-year offensive lineman Christian Gaddis were the three players. Owner Ralph Wilson is also expected to be called to testify.

One thing I learned from politics is that the coverup always gets you into more trouble than the crime.

Of course it is. Unfortunately the NFL has a Commissioner involved in his own coverup. So whom are the players supposed to look up to?

One could argue they should not need to look up at anyone. They are adults and should not need anyone.

Behavior by commissioner setting a precedent, and a very bad one at that...and I'm sure the commissioner was well compensated for his actions.

Not when there's an obvious chain of command. Just like when Goodell stated he held coaches at a higher standard than players when Wade Wilson got suspended and fined for using HGH. If it's good enough to say that coaches set an example, then the commissioner of the league should set the greatest example of them all.

You miss the point because you want to.

They are ADULTS.

They should not NEED to learn how to behave NOW.

They are football players who've been led to think they can get away with anything. Wonder what Wilson's involvement is? Is it just a tactic the prosecutor is using to get the message across that he's serious of this investigation or does the prosecutor believe the cover up stops at the top of the Bills' organization with Wilson. Hmm.

If the head of the league is deceitful to a Senator and the public in covering up a crime, what's not going to make these players think that because they are part of the NFL they can cover things up and get away with it as well?

They are absolutely accountable for their actions, but Goodell's actions set a poor example.

What is Ralph Wilson going to testify about? Maybe how a team with the greatest 4 year Super Bowl run in the history of the modern NFL came away without a single win?

Did he hide Lynch's SUV in his garage? Tell investigaters that Lynch was having dinner at his place that night? What?
