Ouch.
NY Daily News:
Let's not *****foot around: "The Love Guru" is an atrocious, idiotic 88 minutes of anti-entertainment. To borrow word-shtick from the guru Pitka, it's AWFUL as in, "Anyone Watching Feels, Um, Loser-ish."
...
Aside from voicing Shrek, Myers hasn't given a lead performance since 2003's stinker "The Cat in the Hat." Before that was the one-joke "Austin Powers in Goldmember." If the clock stopped — and. watching this, it feels like it does — "The Love Guru" would beat them both as the least funny comedy of the decade so far.
NT Times:
Which might sum up “The Love Guru” in its entirety but only at the risk of grievously understating the movie’s awfulness. A whole new vocabulary seems to be required. To say that the movie is not funny is merely to affirm the obvious. The word “unfunny” surely applies to Mr. Myers’s obnoxious attempts to find mirth in physical and cultural differences but does not quite capture the strenuous unpleasantness of his performance. No, “The Love Guru” is downright antifunny, an experience that makes you wonder if you will ever laugh again.

I saw it Wednesday and didn't even bother posting a review. Worst movie I've seen in years...along with THE HAPPENING.

The Happening WAS awful. Stupid, stupid, treetarded movie.

I liked the Sixth Sense and Signs.
The promo photo for Dana Carvey on "the space" made him look very perculiar, like he had plastic surgery. Did he look odd to you on the special?

Unbreakable was a good first half of a movie (I know he HAD intended a sequel) that sets things up, but I don't think it works well by itself. At least not well enough to be better than average.

Yes he did look really shiny or something. I dont care personally if he did, the guy is funny and I like him.
I used to love saturday night live in the late 80s and early 90s. Carvey and myers and the rest of the cast were fantastic.

Agreed. Didn't expect the comic book angle from the trailers but was pleasantly surprised.
Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs were all very well made. They were all very simply plotted, and just as easily could have been made into effective low budget movies.
But since then.... eh.

I don't care, either. I just did a double take when I saw the picture with his name underneath.
It always makes me a little sad when stars go under the knife or get botox in hopes of improving their looks when it rarely ever helps, and most of the time they look hideous.

Its just looks horrible from the previews.... why dont they just call it... "we are trying to cash in on Austin Powers-like movie... but worse"

While it would be easy to jump all over this M. Night director.... I think he has some good movies and some bad.... but I think his directing approach is more of a Twilight Zone-type.
I am really for or against this director... I just think he is an acquired taste. He set the bar pretty high in his 20's with the BIG HIT the Sixth Sense....
I saw "Get Smart" yesterday and thought it was good.
I saw this over the weekend and was pleasantly suprised. He didnt try to do a Don Adams impersonation(I actually was looking forward to a few of them) but he did GET SMART as Steve Carrell and it worked fine. Very funny.
Agent 99 - Hathaway made it her own. Another good performance. The Rock - eh... I would have like to have seen more of Larabie... that dude can be friggin funny.
