Exact same thing happened in Downtown Dallas last year. Don't know how much national press it got, but there were propane blasts that went on for what seamed like 45 minutes. One person at the facility died. It happened at around 10 AM and there was stunning video being captured from the people in the high rise office towers... surprised I couldn't find any on you tube.

I watched the whole thing from my 45th floor office window. You're right, it was huge.

1 firefighter dead and one employee of the propane company missing. Miracle that more people weren't killed.
