I recently went to the gbnreport web site, and they had the updated draft order. HOLY S***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what I said when I saw the chart. Did anyone on this board realize that the Top 20 spots all belong to teams that have a record of 4-4 or worse. Better yet, does anyone else realize that, for as bad and inconsistent as Dallas has played, they are ONLY 1 GAME OUT OF THE LAST WILD-CARD SPOT? Doesn't seem possible, does it?
Maybe, just maybe, Parcells (even though he thinks they are playing dumb right now) still believes that this team, IF they play mistake-free football on both sides of the ball, still has a shot at a post-season birth. Sure, maybe the schedule says otherwise, but technically the 'Boys still have a (long) shot.

Sounds good, but we lost to the Bengals ... 26-3.
What more needs to be said???

It's not only that we have been losing, but how and to whom we have been losing to.
Fumbles, interceptions, lack of turnovers, lack of urgency, sloppy play, terrible execution of plays, etc.
This is not a playoff calibre team, IMO.
That said, as a fan, I'm hoping we can improve and turn things around. But to do so, we need PLAYERS.
Maybe J Jones can jump start the running game, who knows? But frankly said, we don't have much time to turn things around.
I still don't understand how replacing crappy players equates to giving up.
Now I don't see the practices, so maybe Henson, Lee, Rogers and some of the other younger players just down right suck and aren't ready to play.
Either way, this season is over.... So therefore we may as well get something positive out of it.
And if Henson really is that far away from being able to play in this league, then this team is in for a few more seasons just like this one.
Until we get a legit QB and RB (which we've needed for 4-5 years now), we will continue to struggle.
When it comes to GM's, Jerry Jones ranks right up there with Mike Brown.

Denver lost to Cinn as well, sorry you don't give up. I know it is easy for fans to give up hell they have nothing on the line, it is not the fans job hanging in the balance. Fans did not spend this summer in 2 a days so yeah it is easy for them to just throw their hands up and quit, professional athletes are not suppose to give up it is their jobs.

Excellent job, Doomsday. I swear so many people recommend all these personnel changes as if they are playing Madden. Just put this guy in and it'll work. That's NOT what goes on. If Parcells says that Lee basically can't block to save his life. then I believe it. Why? Because you and I both know that NOBODY ON THIS BOARD (except maybe Brown Sugar's fine ***) has a damn clue what is really going on at Valley Ranch Monday through Saturday that makes Parcells make the decisions he is making.

Yes, it's gloom & doom today, but the bottom line is that the NFC sucks bigtime (remember the days when the NFC RULED?!). Anyway, one of the sports websites yesterday had an analysis showing that, realistically this year the NFC wildcard team could be 8-8 or even 7-9, because everyone in the division is so poor. Yes, we lost to the Bengals on Sunday, but the Jets lost to the Bills, the Giants to the Bears, etc. It's called parity. Hopefully, Bill will start snarling at the players again & they'll get some spine. You never know! I'll have hope until the end of the season. Even if we don't make the playoffs, if we see the team get some life back & start to play, then we'll have a better idea of who will be around next year.

Exactly, we see the Cowboys 1 day out of 7 and all of a sudden we are all experts? Parcells seeing these guys day in day out, on the practice field and in the class room. He knows what they can and can't do and if he is not playing a particular player then he clearly has a reason why yet when he explains himself many do not want to pay attention to what he is say but want to spin what he is saying. I understand this is a message board and people are putting their opinions out there but that is all it is their opinion nothing more. I'll put Parcells credital up against anyone on the board

I'll especially take his word on things since the man has admitted repeatedly the last couple of weeks that he has been completely wrong with some of the decisions he has made this year.

Jeff I made that observation yesterday about the records. Last Sunday was our chance to start pulling away from the pack, and we coughed it up.
We're not getting that last wild card spot, (too many holes, we've lost in too many ways for any good coodinator not to just imitate one of them, and we beat ourselves when we do have a chance - first Tuna team ever to be blowing half time leads and looking worse, overall in the last half than the first) because many of those teams bunched up a 4-4, and 3-5 are significantly better than us.
I do hope for the second half of the season we PLAY like we have a playoff spot, tho. I'm not one to settle for moral victories when it comes to football, but just to see the saason end with a display of determination and team work might qualify as one.

If this team can get some spark, it can compete and still win a few games; if it doesn't, it will continue losing. The difference isn't skill level, it's attitude - what Parcells calls talent. This team has been showing none of the synergism that comes with cohesion and togetherness. The coaching staff and players alike need to find a cure for their cerebral rectalitis.

You contradict yourself in your own post. You concede the season is over so we should get something positive out of it by playing the younger players. That's giving up by playing the young guys.
This isn't madden 05, you can't plug in some young guys and expect them to succeed.
