That's interesting, I've never met anyone who liked it, if they'd heard it.
Just a matter of taste, I remember when it came out and I couldn't get pver it. Odd. Very odd.

I never heard of Mika, from the sound of it, I don't want to. :D

Two contemporary songs that I really dislike are that "Umbrella" song and the "Tattoo" song.

"Uummmberrrrellla .... Uh, Uh Uh, Uuummmberrrrella .... Uh, Uh, Uh..."

"Just Like a tattoo, I'll always have you."

:bang2:

Are kindergartners writing this stuff?

There was a song from the late 1970s called "Pop Music," or something like that. That was about the worst I've ever heard. I don't know who did it.

But my vote goes to Cowpoke's choice: "Hail to the Redskins." :laugh2:

Get up...
Get down...

Radio, video
Boogie with a suitcase
Your livin' in a disco
Forget about the rat race
Let's do the milkshake, sellin' like a hotcake
Try some buy some fee-fi-fo-fum

Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik

Shoobie doobie do wop
I wanna dedicate this
Pop pop shoo wop
Everybody made it
Shoobie doobie do wop
Infiltrate it
Pop pop shoo wop
Activate it

New York, London, Paris, Munich
Everybody talk about pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik
Pop pop pop pop musik

Singing in the subway
Shuffle with a shoe shine
Fix me a molotov
I'm on the headline

Wanna be a gun slinger
Don't be a rock singer
Eenie meenie mynie moe
Tell me where you wanna go

Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik

Shoobie doobie do wop
Lyin' in the tree (?)
Pop pop shoo wop
Eenee meenie
Shoobie doobie do wop

Pop pop shoo wop
You know what I mean

Hit it...

Now you know what to say...

Talk about, pop musik
Pop pop pop pop musik

All around the world
wherever you are
dance in the street anything you like
do it in your car in the middle of the night
La la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la

Dance in the supermart
Dig it in the fastlane
Listen to the countdown
They're playin' our song again

I can't get jumping jack
I wanna hold - get back
Moonlight muzak
Knick knack patty whack

Talk about, pop musik
Talk about, pop musik

Shoobie doobie do wop
It's all around you
Pop pop shoo wop
Gonna suround you
Shoobie doobie do wop
It's all around
Pop pop shoo wop

Hit it...
New York, London, Paris, Munich
Everybody talk about pop musik
Talk about, pop musik

Jackson Browne's attempt to rhyme "pretender" makes me wince each time I hear his song. Especially his reach for the "ice cream vendor."

legal tender
pounds his fender
solemnly wait for the ice cream vendor
Strolls the Pretender
legal tender
soul of the spender
contender
Say a prayer for the Pretender.
Only to surrender.

The new Kid Rock song I heard on the radio recently is climbing the charts rather quickly for worst songs in my opinion. I first heard it a couple of weeks ago and immediately changed the channel without knowing who was singing. When I found out it was Kid Rock it explained a lot. He is terrible.

When songs like "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" or "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" confuse you, Jackson doesn't stand a prayer.
