Someone who actually is dedicated enough to get on message boards, follow the draft, minor leagues, and every game they can possibly watch?

I ask this because its football season and im tired of seeing baseball on ESPN and I dont really know anyone that is a huge baseball fan.

I know several. I'm borderline. I watch probably 100 games a year. Usually go to about three. I'm constantly checking scores, schedules, standings, and stats.....but I've never been a member of a message board or forum with any baseball affiliation.

I love minor league baseball too, but only go to about two or three games a year.

I'm far more dedicated to the Cowboys than any other sports team though.

I've been on a baseball message board. Following the draft is basically impossible, as it's not broadcast on television. Minor leagues, I tend to follow prospects of my favorite team, but I don't go to games, mainly because I prefere MLB games when I do go.

I only watch a handful of games on TV, since I don't live in the market where my team plays. But every time I can watch them I do, and I'll watch the occasional Red Sox/Yanks game or Dodgers game.

I will watch in the playoffs though.

This thread is worthless without pics.

I don't believe people like this actually exist.

lmao

They have to be out there man or ESPN and other sports television shows are wasting a ton of money.

I know people who were baseball players and never played football and even they want baseball off the television when its football time.

If I saw an Alien it would be 1 more alien i've seen than Hardcore baseball fans that ive met.

I am a huge Mets fan. I have MLB extra innings and I watch the Mets every night I am home. I have internet on my cell phone and I can watch game cast when I am away from home. And I have MLB radio on my computer so that by chance the Mets are not on TV, I can listen to them on the radio.

I don't foloow the draft, but I do love the Hot Stove league from November thru December and love the free agency period and trading period. I know the Mets farm system pretty good.

As big a Met fan as I am a Packer fan.

Oh yeah, I've been to the baseball winter meetings too. 2005 in Dallas.

I forgot to add, if I have to make a choice between the Packers playing or the Mets, It is always the football game. Only one time over the years did I watch the baseball game. GB was playing Denver out west and the mets were playing the Braves in a game that went extra innings and Robin Ventura won it on a grand slam single. One of the best baseball games I ever watched. Plenty of drama. But every other time was the football game.

So you're a closet GB fan? Bandwagoner!!

Brightside for you though. You JUST leapfrogged about 50 spots on the mod's "next in line" list. If you were female, you'd be a shoe-in!

I am a big time Rangers fan even though we can't field a winner. The next couple of years will be extremely promising.

I frequent their message board pretty often even though the activity there is literally about .01% of this :D.

And the draft is actually on TV. At least the first couple of rounds anyway.

I'm a huge, and mean HUGE Mets fan. I have the MLB package and the last several years have averaged 120 games watched. I get on a couple Mets boards but none come close to this one so i don't go on very often. I follow the MLB draft but nowhere close to how i follow the NFL draft, which is a 9 month deal for me. And yes, i follow the Mets minor leagues to some extent, but it's probably confined to a few days a month during the season, maybe 5-8. And i follow the "Hot stove" in the winter.

Big Dakota, How about that bullpen since Wagner went out. They wear me out every game but they really are gettign the job done. Other than the one game at Philly and the one game at Florida, they have looked really good. Make Stokes the closer. He has teh best stuff out of anybody. Bring on the Phillies this weekend. Time to bury those loud mouths....

I had an economics professor in college that was the biggest MLB fan I've ever met. He watched a ton of games, did the spring training deal and went to some minor league games as well.

Saying this, he was also in his mid 40's, lived by himself and I never knew him to date or have a girlfriend.

Yes. Most of my friends love baseball. I have a friend who is a phillies fan. He lives it and breathes it.

My mom and most of my family are 24-7 about the yankees.

I think it depends on where you live. In the northeast people seem to love baseball, I know I do. In the south I see no emotion for major league baseball.

I love the Yanks as much as the Boys, but I never felt motivated to post about them on baseball message boards. Exchanging emails with my brothers is enough.

LOL, there was a "hate" thread on the Mets MLB board the other day. The one Mets fan thought the biggest sin in the world was being a Yanks and Cowboys fan. I wasn't surprised how many agreed. I had to jump in and defend my Boys.

Well, my family lived in Irving in the 1960s, and Northern New Jersey in the 50s and 70s, so I have a legitimate connection to the teams I follow.

Really? I was actually looking for a message board during above .500 run, but couldn't find one. I'm a diehard Rangers fan, I watch every game I can, even now when they have no purpose of playing.

Gah they seem on the verge, but can't quite crack through the ice.

Connection, for me, has nothing to do with where i've lived.

I'm a BIG time Twins fan obviously.

I don't buy MLB Extra Innings because I can only get Sunday ticket or MLB and I choose Sunday Ticket. But I watch it every chance I can and always follow it on my phone. I've found from others that if you pay for a fantasy baseball team, you will get into baseball a lot more.
