I've never been to a game where the home team booed the starting QB during warm-ups..... and it only got louder during the game.
It took Brunell's total failure and being 17 points down to get Ramsey in. But the kid threw for more yards in a little over a half, than Brunell did in the past 2 games I believe.
The future is now folks.
Put Henson in and give him the rest of the season. Its time to find out if he's your guy for the future. There are enough games to show some improvement.
Good luck tonight (not too much.....I'm hoping for a tie!)
have a nice week

If Henson plays this year it will not happen until after Thanksgiving, only a guess on my part and have nothing to support that as a fact just a gut feeling. If Dallas wins 2 out of the next 3 games I think Vinny stays put as the starter but should Dallas fail to with 2 out of the next 3 then I will not be suprised if Henson is given the remainder of the season.

I hope so. I'm so sick of Vinny it's not funny.
BTW, I always liked Ramsey better. I didn't understand why Gibbs needed Brunnell.

I agree about Ramsey. I had dreams of Brunnell starting such a controversy
That Ramsy would have found himself Cowboy.

There is a big difference between Brunnel and Vinny....as in Vinny is NOT our problem right now. He has NOT played that poorly.
Brunnel just flat out sucked....but Vinny hasnt been that bad at all. Those interceptions in the last game was just him trying to do too much....because no one else was doing anything and we were falling behind.
The only way Henson gets a shot this season is when we fall so far behind in the standings. that there is no shot at all for the playoffs.
Of course that just may come sooner than we all would like.

Ramsey's brother posts on extremeskins. He said they both grew up Cowboys fans.

Ramsey played it smart this year. Even before the game, I saw him trying to pump up Brunell.
He knew that with a performance like that, he'd get his chance. Now, 2 road games to get his snaps in. I'm guess we hand it off a lot.
The Season was over for all the teams in the NFC East besides those Damn Iggles. Now we just see if he's our guy for the future.
Either way, even after this ugly loss. I'm smiling.

You should be he's a good kid. Last year his offensive line killed him, with Bugel protecting him it'll be a different story.

For the next two games we lose (Philly and the Burgh), we need to just run that ball a lot and let him get his reps in Practice.
I like him a lot also. When given time, he can make all the throws. He just needs to mature and learn the pro-game more.

I was never more embarrassed to be a Cowboys' fan than when the fans booed Troy Aikman in his last year. Alas, fans want to see results now.
Yes, I'm hoping Henson is next in line. How is this for a script? Dallas down 21-10 at the start of the fourth quarter, Vinny has thrown three more picks in the game. While running from Jevon Kearse, he twists his ankle and has to get treatment on the sidelines. Henson steps in and leads the Cowboys to two fourth quarter TDs, including one in the final seconds to secure a 24-21 victory.
Hey a guy can dream, right?? :)

Parcells and co were, and are, being boiled alive by many boardmembers here for failing to jump out and spend freely in free agency. I for one am glad they did not. Not that I am against spending cap money, it is just that there was no free agent value out there that was worth it for the Cowboys. A case in point. M. Brunell is a bust for the Redskins (it couldnt happen to a nicer team :D ). This is gonna hurt them on the cap in a big way. None of the free agent corners were worth the money and the D. Line free agents were also overrated. Many will point out that we got Vinnie and Eddie George. Eddie looks like he has very little value as a starter, but Vinnie has looked serviceable. The key to Vinnie and Eddie is that they were essentially looked at as a 1 year stop-gap measure, whereas, Brunell is gonna hurt the Skins for years to come. The Keyshawn deal looks good from here, at least as of todays date. We are making improvement and we are not killing the cap to do it. We tried for years to replace Novacek, and Witten looks to fill the bill nicely. Rome wasnt built in a day and neither were the Cowboys super bowl teams in the 90's. We are getting there, just be patient.

I remember Mark Brunnel was a hot commodity amongst some Cowboy fans during the Off-season.
Brunnel's arm has been shot for the past 3 1/2 seasons.
I am not surprised that Joe Gibbs is getting a pass for this $8 million SB bust. He's lucky he's got Vinny and Danny in the front office. Any other coach would have been roasted by the fans and the mediots.

and Ramsey threw for 2 ints and has 5 in 2 games atleast Brunell didnt threw that many

Brunell couldn't throw it down field.
Ramsey's 2nd INT was a hail mary at the end.....even though he should of had like 5 int's.
Got to get those snaps in during practice, get your timing down.
Brunell I believe before the Green Bay game, had scored more points for the other team than Washington. 2 or 3 Int's for TD's. 2 or 3 Fumbles for TD's.

Hate to burst your bubble guys, but Gibbs only benched Brunell for the Cincy game. He hasn't announced that Ramsey's starting the upcoming game. Now, he may change his mind sometime this week, but if you listen to what he's said in the past, he keeps insisting that Brunell is "learning" his (Gibbs') very complicated offense. That sounds to me like someone who's going to keep Brunell in. Also sounds like someone who realizes how stupid they were to pay the guy an $8 mil bonus. If Ramsey & Hasselbeck really aren't their future QBs, can you imagine how much they're going to have to fork out to get Brees? Or maybe they'll pay Kitna a $10 mil bonus?

How generous of you! You're willing to give him a whole half a season before deciding whether he's the future?! Wow. Boy, the Ravens must be total idiots to have given Boller as long as they have. Just imagine--"WE" (the famous "we") long ago decided he couldn't cut it.

Brunell was ALL Gibbs right there. He just had Danny write a check. BIG MISTAKE.
also, I'd bet Dollars to Doughnuts that Brunell isn't starting next week. But, crazier things have happened. They could go out and find some baseball or hockey player and sign him.

We need to do something. Manning was just named the starter for the Giants. Two other NFC East teams are getting younger/better? at QB. We are getting older. Vinny needs to remind us why he is Parcell's choice over Henson.
