Sad story and very tragic but I'm not in the least surprised Biden is lying about it for political gain... it's what he does...

Was there not sympathy enough, that he felt the need to post-facto "modify" the circumstances revolving around the tradgedy?

According to the article, he's only mentioned this twice. Obviously twice is too many.

Hopefully, the campaign tells him to hush it up since it's been proven otherwise.

"Let me tell you a little story," The newspaper quoted Biden as saying. "I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly -- and I never pursued it -- drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries."

There...he is saying...this could be a lie.

I really don't see why he needs to add that into the story. It's not like it adds anything to the story. It's still sad.

I have a hard time getting too worked up over this story either way.

I thought you had to be 35 to be a US senator.

I thought you had to be 35 to be a US senator.President.
Congress members must be 25.
Senators must be 30 so Biden must've been 29 when elected but 30 when sworn in.
