Watch the whole thing... it's classic "Kill the Messenger"...
Rep. Manzullo's say at 6:15 is particularly disturbing...
I didn't make this video, so there are some titles in here particularly partisan... it wasn't me...
Clinton at 8:14 is interesting too...

Maxine Waters (D-CA): Through nearly a dozen hearings, we were frankly trying to fix something that wasn’t broke. Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and particularly at Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Franklin Raines. [Raines would barely avoid prosecution for fraud.]
Gregory Meeks (D-NY): … I’m just pissed off at OFHEO [the regulators trying to warn Congress of insolvency at the GSEs], because if it wasn’t for you, I don’t think we’d be here in the first place. … There’s been nothing that indicated that’s wrong with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac has come up on its own … The question that then comes up is the competence that your agency has with reference to deciding and regulating these GSEs.
Lacy Clay (D-MO): This hearing is about the political lynching of Franklin Raines.
Barney Frank (D-MA): I don’t see anything in this report that raises safety and soundness problems.

I have to be honest with you. I am a Republican but I believe that change must occure. If it does not, then I believe we are headed for disaster. I don't believe this centers around the War, the Economy or even differences in political idioligy. I believe that the Government is dangerously close to losing the trust of the people. Politicians are just too damn dishonest.
I honestly would have seriously considered Obama had it not been for his link with this Mortgage and Lending issue. I see too many things that lead him back to this whole thing. I just don't think that he is as honest as he needs to be either. I could be wrong. I'm certain there are several on this board that will point out just how wrong I am in my view of Obama. I just don't trust him Brain. Not even if he were a Republican.

Change can occur when the people are active. These congressmen are being bombarded by voters and we see that when people are involved politicians tend to listen.

Things won't change as long as people still spout the political talking points and mantra that these two parties throw out there and things will not change because people are so indoctrinated into voting for the two party system instead of a write in candidate or third party candidate.
Kind of hard to for the people to rise up and say we are going to make you change when they can not even get past the voting for the subpar candidates each party puts out there ever election cycle.

I refuse to believe this Brain. This is not a statement of the validity of what you have posted. Rather, it's a belief in our people and the system.
Acceptance of a person like Palin, or even McCain to a lessor extent, represents change IMO. Neither are products of the Beltway. Neither, IMO, are really products of there respective parties. Neither would have been the choice had the Republican Party been given the chance to pick there own Presidential Candidate.
I don't trust Obama/Bidden because to me, they are the same old even though they are running on the New and Improved platform. Both of these men have, IMO, questionable political affiliations. That, of course, is only my opinion and not widely popular in Liberal circles. :D
