Vinny has some significant incentives in his deal that I believe would impact our cap room for next year should he reach them. From memory it seems one of them has to do with him taking 70% of the snaps.
Unless sitting Henson continues to be in the best interests of his development (there is lots of controversy over what the right formula is) then it would certainly seem to be time to make sure that we don't spend any more of next years cap money than is absolutely necessary.
I think Vinny probably gives us the best chance of maximizing our 2004 win total. But at what cost?
Playing Henson (or even Romo) soon probably gives us our best chance at saving cap $$ and determining what our QB needs may or may not be for 2005 and beyond.
We're gonna need the cap dollars because there are far mor holes than can be filled with 1 draft. We need some more players on defense!
