Let's just say I'm an FSU fan and i don't want us getting him. He hasn't proven to me that he can carry the load, and his injury concerns really concern me. That said, we could do alot worse, but alot better.

I've already voiced my opinion on this.
I think he's a good pick after round one.
I was so impressed watching him in 2002. If he ever regains that form, he'll be a great RB.
I'm concerned with the knees. It's hard to hang your hat on a RB that can't stay healthy.
If we traded down in the 28-37 range, I'd think he'd fit well there.

I would be upset. GJ is a talent but also an injury concern. Not only has he been injured but he will take a beating with his running style. NFL players dont just bounce off like bowling pins. GJ is all muscle but muscles pull, tear, bruise, strain et al. Muscle isnt injury-proof by any means.
Now GJ at our spot in r2 would be cool by me. A lower round pick who doesnt have to last more than 4 years as a starter. We could use Cason as the 3rd down back.

IN the first? Yeah, I'd be pretty disappointed with that. That would be a reach. I'm not in love with him, but I think he's got a shot at being a decent NFL running back. I'd live with it if they took him at their current spot in the 2nd, but I wouldn't want to see us select him any sooner than that. And it would depend on what other rb's are left on the board at the time. If they took him with, say, Tatum Bell or Chris Perry still on the board, I wouldn't like it regardless of the spot they selected him.

He is the next Troy Hambrick, I think that tells you how I feel about him and drafting him.

Mike Alstott? Only in size, Jones is way more agile. I think he will go somewhere between 27-40 overall.

We can't trade down with K. Jones on the board unless it's only two spots and we are sure that K. Jones would still be there. IF he is gone at 22 and trade down then getting G. Jones in the second would be fine. But not in the first. I think he will be there at our pick inthe second round anyway. He would be my third RB option anyway behind Jackson and KJ.

When making an assessment, are you guys basing that on this years performance or his overall career?

Yeah , he is my third option behind Jackson and K.Jones, because of the injury risk, but if he returns to form we win.

He is likely to bust..you cannot just run over NFL players like he did in college...

This years performance, his career pre-injury was awesome. He could have easily been the number one rb drafted in this draft. That said, I just don't think he has the pre-injury form left in him.

my opinion of greg jones is that he doesn't offer anything special. as said earlier he's another hambrick.

We damn sure better not trade down and pick Greg Jones in the 1st. If that happens I'm going to be sure to check Parcells into the looney bin because he definately lost his mind and sense of judgment in regards to the Rb position.
Btw, I see Greg Jones as the next Ron Dayne.
