A bunch of dominant players in the NFL are completely classless. What happened to the days when the most celebration anyone did after a TD was a spike or dunk? Some say KJ doesn't have any class, anybody that doesn't do any celebration and goes and gives a ball to the wheel chair section and made probably the kids life, sure he wants the ball but thats every player who has played the game. And Irvin the worst thing he ever did was the classic first down sign. Emmitt the worst thing he has done is waiving bye bye to the Giants defenders as he sprints into the end zone (if your a cowboy fan you know the play I'm talking about) and that was because he was pissed at critics. Troy, well can't even think of one. They were never running to midfield (except Emmitt that was just to prove a point during the game) or talking on cellphones, they would congratulate each other and prepare to do the same thing the next series. I know those guys still exist with Harrison, Witten, KJ..ect... but before no one used to do much celebration. Sorry if this is to long.
Another thing why is it when recievers drop passes they smile and look at there hands ex. Shockey, Owens, and many others. When I drop a pass I get pissed and my hands become numb because of me slapping them together so hard and that just makes me better.

Deion Sanders King of Classless acts happened. Deion didn't start all the dancing and parading and hand gesturing, he just made it all really really popular. King of Cheesy should be Deions name. After Deion was in the league for awhile, the next generation of punks came into the league and did nothing but try to imitate and emulate him and one up him.
Sanders, King of Cheese, Classless punk, hired gun with no loyalties, lame= commentator, of the nine-toes, soon to be in the hall of shame useless place, first to be Leon *of the Leon commercials*.
(No, I'm not bitter. I NEVER liked him.)

One person who has really matured, IMO, is Moss.
He is always giving the TD ball to a handicapped person now.
Also, he told Culpepper to not be concerned about getting the ball to him if it's not there.
And this is a guy that alot of people thought was destined for trouble for life. He's gotten into his share of it, but doesn't do anything classless on the field that I can remember.

cowboyeric8You want to see class? Watch Larry Fitzgerald of Arizona. He caught a touchdown last week and sprinted to the ref to give him the ball.

I didn't see it, but good for him. Hopefully he'll keep it up.
It just seems to me that these guys are all trying to "one-up" the next WR.

Antics = Publicity = $$ for the NFL.

And that wasn't just any ole' touchdown, either. It was the game-winner, with about 11 seconds left on the clock.

This isn't golf.. class doesn't really matter..
When you score a touchdown, you should be able to do whatever you want because you just made a huge play
If you wanna go ice skating after you score so be it... if you wanna 'slam dunk' after you score so be it... if you wanna hump rowdy after you score, go right on ahead
Ok maybe not that far, but you see where I'm goin with this..

What many people do not know is that since getting drafted...he has had an annual event in his home town to come and sign autographs and meet with young fans every year...also brings a player or two with him if he can. Culpepper has been with him.
He makes sure these are done for the kids and not grown ups who are just collectors trying to make a buck.
He has done this since coming into the league because he said as a Kid nobody like that came around these parts for the kids and he wanted the kids to get a chance to see someone in the pros and talk with them...but you never hear about stuff like that.
Also on Larry Fitzgerald...he has always been the class act at Pitt and I expected nothing short of that when he joined the pros.
He is like a Marvin Harrison IMO....guy has all the skills and can do all of the stuff that would make MOST WRs act like fools...but does not.

Sure you should be able to do that...but then again you should be able to show some class and some of that been there done that type of attitude.
It is one thing if the guy spikes the ball, it is one thing if the guy jumps up and down, it is one thing if a guy raises his arms, it is one thing if a guy pumps a fist.....hell anyone would be excited to score...but for some knuckle head to actually spend time practicing a move or step to perform when he makes a TD is just crazy IMO.
I mean I can picture T.O. at his house or on the practice field when others are gone....doing these stupid things and think to myself...your play itself should be all the attention you need.

I totally agree... spiking the ball used to be a spur of the moment reaction... this all changed with Billy "White-Shoes" Johnson...
These guys obviously practice these celebrations now... how ridiculous is that... I would venture to say that some may even hire choreographers...
I know the younger generation thinks this is all in fun...but aggravating and showing up your opponent just leads to bad blood... we have it in sports, politics, the jobplace, between communities... etc...
When I was younger, the most coveted award outside of a championship trophy... was the sportsmanship trophy...
We still have sports... what we lack is sportsmanship...

Didn't one of the announcers comment on this Monday Night? Maybe it was Sunday.
But I thought I heard a commentator draw an analogy to an automobile assembly line in which the last guy on the line who puts on the windshield wipers starts whootin' and hollerin' like he was the only guy who mattered in building the car.
Wan't it Chuck Knoll who said, "Act like you been there before."?
Or how about, "America prefers quiet heroes." - Bob Dole

Some of the td stuff I can stomach but what really bothers me is the guy who makes a tackle on the opening kickoff of the first game and then acts like he just made the SB winning tackle.
