I was reading another board where the poster thought we should give Bill credit for drafting Jason Witten.

But consider this:

When our 2nd round pick came up . . . the war room wanted to draft Jason Witten then.

Bill Parcells was adament that we get a center, so we instead reached on Al Johnson.

We lucked into Jason Witten falling to us in the 3rd round.

So he gets no credit for that as far as I'm concerned.

A more likely scenario was they wanted to trade that No. 2 to Carolina for a pure pass rusher named Kavika Pittman. ;)
