They can do whatever they want. That is what their audience is.

Uptight suburban white people who are afraid of minorities and who follow the "Real" or "true" religion of christianity.

no That is not what I am saying. What I am saying is, this is america and this is the way the majority of the country thinks. Like it or not.

and when election day comes the people who have the most intrest in voting go to the polls, that is the demographic they fit.

I really dont care if that offends you or you think its not true. Its what american society is.

Palin is there to draw out the religious voters. She will succeed. Just look at this board, people who dont like mcain will vote for him anyway because she is an evangelical. THat is their reason. Nothing more nothing less.

and the people who could counter the vote of the old suburban white group will be home playing video games or just doing something else, as they always are.

WHat I am saying is the only way obama can win is if enough people come out to vote who can counter that demographic and I see absolutely no chance of that happening.

Well, I am not hating on anyone. I am simply pointing out the obvious. I find it near impossible to believe middle aged to senior citizen white men will go to the polls and vote for an african american. And saying religous people will vote republican is about as common sense as you can get. Come on.

Of Course she does because by and large the conservative base is a christian base.

Plus you have McCain that was never tight with the christian base prior to meeting up with some to pander for their votes this year.

Now she was not brought on board for the christian base specifically so in that cajun makes a point.

You judge a president down the line after you can see how they affected history. Truman was vilifies at the time but proved to be a very wise man later on. You highly underestimate the Yellow-Dog Democrats. I live in an area where most members of my church don't agree with a single idea on the Democrat platform. They will vote Democrat anyway. Yellow Dogs are the norm here and in many parts of the south.

We also have "religious" blacks here and they vote overwhelmingly Democrat as well as around the rest of the country. Black churches also register a lot of voters. I don't think you can put the religious voter in the back pocket of the GOP...

I agree with in the fact that I was raised on the premise as you were that everyone is equal. Sadly many in this country don't think so... on both sides of the political aisle...

Reagan 1984
Bush Sr 1988
Bush Sr 1992
Dole 1996

Is that Republican enough for you?

Then my view of things started to change when it came to them.

And their Political Philosophy...see how that works.

I voted Gore...but when Bush got elected I wasn't freaked by any means.

I actually thought that well OK Cheney's there to help him out...if you can believe that.

But it's funny how peoples actions can change your thinking about them. Hmmm.

Then I saw that Bush was no uniter...he was a divider and then we've seen how things have gone. That is why I dislike Bush with a passion...NOT because he's a Republican...but because he is who he is and what he's done.

Seems you can't understand that.

In fact I wouldn't have been too unhappy at all if McCain won in 2000.

I'm glad you voted for a candidate instead of a party. More Americans should do that...

I don't like Bush (the president) either, but not because I consider him a divider, but the fact he spends too much money and doesn't deal correctly with immigration...

BTW... I'm swimming without my trunks... you have been warned...

That's just one of many reasons why I dislike him.

:D
