The truth is, in order to get things like Universal Health Care and a revamped Education System, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of the pie so that someone else can have more.

God... I can't even describe how much I despise this kind of thinking.

I don't mind them being rich.I commend them on achieving the dream.
They worked hard towards it.Communism did not stand in their way.
Problem is,they want to stand in the way of those who want to achieve what they have by "spreading the wealth".

First of all, I don't buy this at all. Look at the two signatures on the receipt: they're perfectly identical, right down to the placement of the dot on the i and the length of the tail of the a. Secondly, I can't find a bottle of Bollinger champagne online for as little as $44, and that's the room service price at the Waldorf Astoria? You guys are way too gullible for this garbage.
Secondly, the "higher taxes" proposed by Obama would be lower than the tax rates under Bush the elder, Reagan, Nixon, and Eisenhower, so can we please drop the 'communism' hyperbole?

Oh and BTW, Obama's tax plan will indeed cause layoffs and higher prices for goods and services.

She was in Fort Wayne at 12 noon for rally. She flew to NY for the debate that night, Why is it such a stretch to think she didn't get a room to relax in before going to Hempstead later that night
And if you are going to have problems with the sources just look at that left wing site you just posted.

The original story isn't up anymore, but from all the blogs I've read reporting ON the story, I never saw that it was paid for by the campaign.
The Obama's have their own money too btw.

Oh, I know they have their own money. But generally, this kind of thing s paid by the campaigns as would be any hotel room. he signed to have it charged to the room.
Hey, I'm not saying this is fact, but it is out there and there is no evidence that she DIDN'T Do this and at least we have a receipt showing her charging it.
Either way, not a huge hairy deal but it does pose a problem for the "We need to tighten our belts" campaign.
I wonder if she spread any of the Lobster around.:D

The recepit looks fake to me. However, that's not what's important.
The important thing is, I've never actually eaten lobster before. Seriously. Is lobster any good? I've never had caviar either. It looks nasty. Champagne I've had though and it's decent.

THE source who told us last week about Michelle Obama getting lobster and caviar delivered to her room at the Waldorf-Astoria must have been under the influence of a mind-altering drug. She was not even staying at the Waldorf. We regret the mistake, and our former source is going to regret it, too. Bread and water would be too good for such disinformation.

Lobster is good. Caviar sucks. When I go somewhere and they are serving it I look for pretzels. :D
Trust me don't have it at the wedding dude.
Champagne is ok, for a toast but I wouldn't recommend it as the drink of choice.
Personally I don't drink any longer but a nice red wine is very good.

sure. as soon as they quit saying things that are socalistic in nature (which leads to communism) like:

you're right. what she spends is her own business. point of the matter is that's pretty cheap for a hotel like that. when in tampa visiting scott david recently i paid $5 for a soda and $8 for a tin of peanuts.
but what concerns me is this:
The truth is, in order to get things like Universal Health Care and a revamped Education System, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of the pie so that someone else can have more.
-Michelle Obama
they're more than willing to ensure everyone in the end would be equal, or those that work harder to earn more must fund for those who don't.
not can't, don't.
america has always been a society of dreams and you guide your own path. i'll ask once more because i do think you're usually pretty fair in what you say, even if we disagree.
do you feel these policies are socalistic in nature?
by and large obama is far and away benefitting more from people fed up with bush than anything he's said or done to date. so are we running to obama because he has good solid answers, or because he's not bush?
to me it seems that people are so anxious for "change" they're willing to risk far too much into someone they don't understand and then support it to get that very change they think they want.
again, do you view any/all/some of his policies socialistic in nature?
