I love GNR but I'll wait to comment until after I hear them without Slash.

If it's anything like Shacklers Revenge they can throw it in the trash.

I'll admit that I don't care for Shackler's myself, but there are some good songs on the album.

I have listened to the first song and did not care for it.
Will wait and see if the others are better.

They are just looking for another pay day.
80's music wasnt that good to begin with and it would take a miracle for G and R to make a hit CD again.
The 2000's has to be the worst music ever though. Rock and Roll got traded away for entertainers.
Entertain me with good music once again PLEASE.

While I agree, GnR should hang it up and never try to make music again, I completely disagree about the 80s music. Late 80s, early 90s produced some to the best music there is, IMO.

I was never a big GNR fan back in their day, but grew kinda fond of their music in more recent years. I'd have to say that if the music on the new CD takes a similar path as this song, then the CD has some promise.
I give Chinese Democracy three & half stars.
:D
Thanks for posting the link.

Guns-n-Roses are nothing without Stradlin - the most underrated part of the original line-up.

Did you guys hear that Dr. Pepper said they would give everyone in the USA a free Dr. Pepper if they came out with the album the end of the year and then GnR comes out the next week and says they are going to bring it out on Nov. 23rd :lmao2:
So on the 23rd, everyone go to Dr.Peppers website and print out a coupon for a free one :)

i like GNR but that song sucks........
give me Sweet Child O Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, Patience, November Rain, Civil War, Don't Cry, Paradise City, Live and Let Die, Estranged, You Should Be Mine and Knockin on Heaven's Door..........but keep this new song cause it sounds like garbage.
I heard it yesterday.
It doesn't suck, but oddly enough, nothing about it stuck in my head. I just remember my reaction while listening to it.

I've also been waiting for this album for years, listening to the first song it's just like hearing their old music... btw rumors are Slash was recording on the Albumn. Axl was on a call in radio show near where he lives and the DJ was like if this is really Axl come on down about 15 minutes later he show's up at the station and they where talking about this CD. Anyway they where talking about the old band and Axl said he couldn't get into details but everyone would be suprised at who's playing with them on the CD... Later rumors had all Slash, and Duff both back... I guess we'll wait to see...
OH yeah song's pretty good. considering it's been a long time...

That's incredible. I was just about to post the exact same thing. I can't think of a more underrated musician (he's also one of the coolest.)

I heard Stradlin basically singlehandedly wrote all the songs on Appetite for Destruction. Which explains why that album was so great, and the rest of their stuff pretty much sucked.

He also wrote some of the strongest material on UYI (Dust N' Bones, Pretty Tied Up, Don't Cry, You Could Be Mine, You Ain't The First, etc.)

Axl and Izzy together were the strongest members, makes sense since they were the two original ones(together since the beginning)

You like good straight ahead rock-n-roll get Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds and Izzy Stradlin "117 Degrees". Izzy has more CD's, but those are his best 2.
Rick Richards (of Georgia Satellite fame) SMOKES on guitar on solo Stradlin.

Sweet Child O'Mine
The opening riff is considered one of the best of all time.
As a huge GNR fan I can say that new song doesn't do much for me. Maybe I'm just bias because I don't care of Axl and his attitude.

the fact that axl wrote november rain and estranged by himself makes him the man...
Though i dont get how slash, thoroughly dominates estranged with his leads, and yet he gets no credit?
