Woman: Robber cut face over McCain sticker on car

http://www.breitbart.com/images/common/dot.gif PITTSBURGH (AP) - A woman robbed at knifepoint at a Pittsburgh ATM told police her attacker knocked her down and carved a "B" in her face after noticing a John McCain sticker on her car. Police say the victim refused medical attention for the wound. An officer saw the injury, but a police report does not describe its size or severity.
Authorities say the woman is from Texas, but aren't identifying her.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richards says the woman was withdrawing money at 9 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached her from behind, put a knife to her neck and demanded money. She says she gave him $60.
The woman told police the robber then noticed the bumper sticker, punched her in the back of the head, knocked her down and carved a "B" on her face.

Apparently, the charge that he was associated with washed-up terrorists was not gaining traction, so they're now playing the anti- card.

I'm glad they did this even though it was not necessary since they had nothing to do with it. Chances are this thug would have done this regardless of this woman political affiliation

Let's have this be the crime thread.
Here's a terroristic threat against a family because of an Obama sign.

Political signs bring threats in Villa Park
Tribune staff report October 17, 2008 Two supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama found handwritten death threats in their mailboxes Thursday and reported them to Villa Park police.
A 74-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man with Obama signs in their front yards near the 600 block of South Villa Avenue received similar letters that had a Villa Park Village Hall return address. "Get the Obama signs off your property--now," the letter reads. "Failure to obey this order will result in the immediate death of all family members." Both residents said they will not remove their signs, though the man, who had voted Republican for 25 years before switching parties this year, said his wife is worried about letting their 7-year-old son play alone outside.
Village President Joyce Stupegia said she has not heard about any other letters.
"I'm quite troubled," she said. "It's obviously a person who's a little nutsy getting carried away. But it's unacceptable."

Man, that sucks.
This is why it is so dangerous for the McCain campaign to personally attack Obama's character, it drives both sides into a frenzy.
Alot of nutjobs out there actually take this political stuff very, very seriously and they get so emotional they just lose control.
Like this robber, once he saw the bumper sticker he just freaking lost it. Same with the people at McCain's ralleys yelling "terrorist" and "bomb obama".
This election just needs to get over with and fast.

Give me a break because some idiots can't control themselves candidates should not run a campaign? I have seen a lot tougher campaigns than this one. Only thing that needs to happen is to lockup these criminals and put the responsibility where it belongs on them not on McCain or Obama

McCain is running a campaign not the 1st in US history and not as negative as many I have seen over the years so spare the BS. You guys did not have a hard time casting Clinton as a racist or going after Hillary but you don't like the heat when it is directed at your own? Go take a hike. That man attacking that woman with a knife is all on that guy not McCain nor is the idiots who are terrorizing the old lady for having an Obama sign in her yards. It is on them not McCain and not Obama.

In light of ongoing quips about the "messiah" on this very board, I don't think it was unreasonable to assume that the intention was to portray Obama supporters as akin to satanists. I was making light of that possible subtext. Now, I could be wrong, of course.
Feel free to wax indignant over it but, I assure you, my conscience is quite clear over the matter.

Then you are casting blame on McCain by saying well he is running a negitive campaign and that is getting people into a frenzy and if he ran the campaign you think he should then these people would not be in a frenzy? How is that not trying to deflect this on to McCain?

No, you said, AND I QUOTE...

You laid that at McCain's feet. Your words not mine.
You never said that McCAin and OBAMA need to stop, just McCain insinuating that it was his fault with the negative attacks. Yet, you have no problem with Obama making statements like People in PA are bitter and they cling to their guns and religion, or the fact that Obama hasn't repudiated Murtha's statements about racists and rednecks.
But, ooohhh, it's McCain's fault for actually discussing facts like his associations with terrorists, cons and racists. They are off limits. No problem with the lefts and by that I mean the Obama surrogates who trash Palin everyday.
All that's ok and would never infuriate anyone like what McCain does. Oh, no!
The truth is you joined in the yuckfest and also chimed in with one of the all time asinine posts.

I will not try to overcome your willful, politically motivated, incomprehension and faux outrage.
Suffice it to say that the article was taken from a known conservative news outfit whose probable intention was to cast aspersions on Obama supporters as hopelessly beguiled members of a political cult who will go to any length on behalf of their "messiah."
It doesn't require a tremendous amount of mental agility to distinguish between commenting on the intention of the post and commenting on the crime that was perpetrated.
You are making a mountain out of a molehill to divert attention away from the obvious subtext of this story.
