View Full Version : DeAngelo Hall Would Cost 16 Million

ProFootballTalk reports the cost to claim CB DeAngelo Hall on waivers is just the pro-rated portion of his $1 million salary, which is roughly $470,000.
However, that total is misleading because a serious Hall injury would mean that his $16 million in unpaid bonus money would become guaranteed. With Terence Newman set to return after the Cowboys bye, we can't even see Jerry Jones taking on that risk.

I think he was overrated in Atlanta and is still not worth it. He won't be an upgrade. Just thought I post this info for you guys to read.

Scandrick > Hall
I think Jenkins will become a play-maker down the road.

Well you only have like 8 games left plus playoffs if cowboys can get in
hall would give you experience in secondary and you could move henry to free safety and hamlin to strong safety, then jenkins and scandrick can continue to learn and grow as players
hall is a game breaker when healthy he goes for the football like adam jones did, and hall doesnt have all of the stuff adam jones did
because you dont know when the commissioner will let adam jones back into the nfl,
we desperately need help in secondary now, henry is hurting now too

Hall gets burnt more times than Roy Williams, refuses to tackle, and you think he's going to help us because he has experience? Please, the only thing he has experience at, is sucking, getting burnt, and then whining about someone spitting on them.

Pacman doesn't get roasted like Hall does. He's not worth the risk.

I don't think you can do that. First, it doesn't matter that there is eight games left, he gets injuried 16 Million goes right to Hall. No thanks, not worth the risk.
Secondly, you just can't move players all over the place. The Cowboys already have issues with chemistry and you don't want to add something explosive to the chemistry project, if you will. This isn't fantasy football.

Correct! Just go back the year we played Atlanta and Hall was talking trash to Owens saying he would shut him down. LOL, he was toasted and missed several tackles during that game.
IF Hall was all of that Atlanta wouldn't of traded him. He is a punk.

The one game that comes to mind is when he said he'd own Chad Johnson and Chad lit him for I think 3 td's.
He even had I own 85 cut in to his hair.

This is the last thing this team needs! Another me first player that thinks he is the greatest.
If we had veteren leaders, or any leadership on this team...I would take him.

Of course he doesn't. He can't actually stay on the field long enough to have an oppurtunity to get roasted as often as Hall.

Wow, I'm still in shock that the Raiders gave up so much for him and are cutting him. I guess old Al is realizing too late how much he overspent this offseason.

You don't want Hall. He is pretty worthless. He takes dumb penalties and lays off 10-15 yards off every receiver. I don't know if it was the horrible coaching or just him being useless against the Bills and Chargers. Raiders were up in both games but other teams were moving the ball on him and he kept giving the receivers 10-15 yards on every play, drive after drive....

to give the situation a positive spin, hall might go out and play hard everyday in a kamakaze fashion, so that he can get injured and collect 16 million.

He was always that bad. He was just a product of today's media hype where if you make a spectacle of yourself and get some publicity and ESPN time, you must be a good player.
