It just kills me to even think that they Eagles could go to the SuperBowl but with an upset tonight against the Giants would give them confidence and momentum going forward.
Yes, I know it sounds insane but I used words like"could" not will.
The way that the NFC Conference is shaping up it "could" very well happen.
If you believe in superstitions, it was in 1980 when Philly had the Phils in the World Series, Sixers in the Championship and the Eagles were in the Superbowl. Yes, they all lost but as some superstitious fans think, flip 80' around and you have 08'. The Phils won the World series! "Could" it be the Eagles turn? I hope not but if they get the upset tonight against the Giants, it "Could" give them the upperhand as the season comes to a close.
Earlier in the season I said Philly and Dallas were the two best teams in the NFC conference. One seems to be going in the right direction, the Eagles and one going in the wrong direction.
It's early but the Cowboys have an uphill battle to make it to the playoffs.
Some fans may get upset with me but it"could" happen. I hope not!

I'm not impressed with any team I've watched this year. I seriously don't see a team that we can't handle...convincingly.
We certainly need to get our act together....but we have more talent than any team in the NFL. It'll take a minor miracle, but it's been done before.

God, I hope not. I love the Phillies. If Eagles won the SB, I would have to move.
the eagles will not even go to the playoffs this year.

Really? Give me a realist reason why the will not, please. I know Cowboy fans hate the Eagles and nobody hates them more than me living 10 minutes outside Philly but I want a real reason why they won't make it.

Well if they lose today, their chances would be worse than ours to make it.

I agree! But if they win, it could give them momentum and hurt the Cowboys chances!

Momentum, like "leadership" and "lost the team" are buzzwords that are overrused in football analysis.

There's really no set time to set yourself up for a run.
Hell, the light never really came on for the Giants until week 16 last year.

It is when the NFC Conference is this tight. As for the Giants, not to many times will you see something like that. Good for them.

Not sure what one has to do with the other.

The Cowboys have to go at least 5-2 if not better. If the Eagles win they go to 6-3 and Cinni coming up next.
This is the time, the second half to get things going. That's all.

Do you stand by your assertion that bthe Eagles have the staff to reel off 10 wins in a row?
Cause they looked terrible in clock management and barely better on Defense.

This is just a dumb thread. A team can beat a team any given week. This is a season long sport we play. And what about the team that actually beat the Giants? Or how about the Packers, whom like the Eagles, actually almost beat a top 2 team also in the Titans last week? Maybe that's the NFC Championship Game? Oh, gasp. Well at least I can stop watching the 2008 Season. Already know the outcome, I watched the last 2 weeks.

Ya! Whatever! I made this thread to jink the Eagles and it worked. Don't be ungrateful for my efforts. Your welcome! LOL!
