More about college football than politics, so I'll put it in this section...
WASHINGTON, D.C. - To the surprise of many Americans, the BCS announced today that it had determined John McCain, not Barack Obama, to be President-elect of the United States.
"Look, we know that the voters gave a slight edge to Obama, but they're only one part of our system, and that edge wasn't enough to overcome McCain's advantage in the final Strength of Schedule," explained BCS Presidential Oversight Committee Chariman David Frohnmayer. "Plus, McCain's earlier margins of victory were much more convincing than Obama's. The computers really made that a big factor."
While Obama carried the Strength of Schedule advantage earlier in the season, the final evaluations done by the BCS showed that McCain had actually run more of a gauntlet. "First of all, look at John Edwards," said Frohnmayer. "The man is the Clemson of presidential campaigns. He always comes into the season over-hyped and overrated, loses contests he should win, doesn't manage to notch a single impressive victory, and is out of the championship discussion before we even reach the halfway point. He's even from South Carolina. I mean, , he might as well have worn a bright orange suit and rubbed some ugly-*** rock before each debate."
