View Full Version : Trade Jason Witten

Putting team first...

1) Dallas can get the draft picks to offset those lost in the RoyE trade.

2) Bennett can do what Witten can do if given the chance.

3) It doesn't make sense to keep two highly paid TE's if the 2nd is rarely used.

4) (imo) Witten limits Romo's growth. Without Witten, Romo is forced to learn to trust the other receivers and spread the ball. Don't get me wrong, I liken Witten and he's a top TE in the league, but...

#1: I didn't see this coming

#2: The dumbest ideas of the offseason

Putting team first...I know you're trying to think outside the box but no thanks on that one. But I do hope Witten is on a playoff winning team before his career is over, even if it means going to another team, he atleast deserves that for the kind of player he's been on and off the field.

When people are questioning Witten and Ware, you know things have gone South. Although I know the OP wasn't actually questioning Witten, there is no way we let him go. The real issue is using a 2nd round pick on Bennett, when we had a good 2nd TE in house already (Fasano showing what he can when utilized properly Miami). Could have used that 2nd on a space eating nose tackle or a freakin' back-up QB.

Couldn't agree more. He's far and away my favorite Cowboys player currently and he's no doubt in the top 2-3 of all time for me.

If there is one player on this team that I simply wouldn't question, at all, it's Witten and that would be followed quickly, and swiftly, by D-Ware.

Hey, can't blame you guys one bit. I've had my share of Crown and Coke's tonight myself. But you guys, you guys need to go on to bed.

Be sure to be quiet and not talk to your wife or better half though. You guys are saying foolish things and I'd hate to see what you might say to them.

Though I tried to make it come off as "serious" I thought it'd be pretty obvious that this thread was intended to be pure satire.

With all the knee-jerk reactions after the game "FIRE WADE! CUT ROMO! CUT OWENS! FIRE GARRETT! FIRE JERRY!" I thought a "TRADE WITTEN!" thread would make folks laugh and generally relax... man did I peg that one wrong LOL
