I seem to remember an interview sometime back where those "Serious Actor" roles dried up for him (no way I'm gonna search for a link :nana: ). If my dementia hasn't finally overcome me and that is indeed the case, then I credit him for reinventing himself instead of fading away.
He was pretty funny in "Along Came Polly" (Although Phillip Seymour Hoffman was by far the best part of that movie).

He's great on 30 Rock.
Yes he is. And his Super Bowl commercial was one of the few that didn't suck.

I couldn't disagree more with this. He's completely reinvented himself. He's funny as hell in everything he does IMO (although I have a overdeveloped sense of humor). Even some of his recent "serious" roles crack me up...i.e. "The Departed".

Entertainers commodity and income is the folks. For the life of me, I don't understand why actors, singers, comedians, etc..........go "political" and offend 50% of their livelyhood. I never got that!
This guy is the "poster child" for just that. He opened his pie-hole too much and turned off over half the market...........Shawn Penn, Babbsy Steisand, the Dixie Chicks, etc, etc, etc,...............idiots. Just take the "nuetral" rout and get all the $$$$ you can get. After all, like I said..........people paying money to see or hear you is your ENTIRE market!!!
