Are there any Centers in the draft, who can play full-time at the C position, just in case Gurode goes down, and also serve as our Long Snapper?

No offense to L.P.L., but I hate wasting a roster spot on someone who only long snaps. I know it is an important part of ST, but if Centers have the ability to make the NFL, they should have the ability to learn how to efficiently long snap.

I have never seen an actual lineman as a LS. Hellestrae was officially a de or dt I think.

I stand corrected but he is the exception rather than the rule. The LS has to be able to get down field after snapping the ball.

Yeah most longsnappers seem to be pretty small compared to regular O-linemen.

Just curious what measurables would you apply to Gurode to show you that he is an all pro center and can play in the NFL? I am not sure what makes a great center, it always seemed to me that Stepnoski was too small, now we have Gurode not sure how I feel about him being an all pro, but he seems like nothing special on the measureable graph?

Gurode is big as a house and strong as a bull.

Most deep snappers weigh like 250... like JPL.
