View Full Version : Romo Friendly Drafts
I am surprised that there are not very many draft projections that, in Jerry's words, are "Romo friendly".
Surrounding Romo with weapons/characters/attitudes to enhance Romo's game/arsenal/opportunities seems to be the theme for 2009. And I'm not referring to backups per se.

he has enough weapons. only thing you could give him would be to draft some o-line depth and maybe a speedy wr. the biggest thing he could use is shoring up the defense.

How many more weapons does he need? If a healthy Romo can't put up big numbers with the talent that is surrounding him, it's on him. Other than o-line depth and maybe a mid-round WR I don't see where we'd go on offense. We certainly aren't going to draft any starters, or for that matter guys that will contribute much.
Needs a starting LT, he does not have now and wont get at 51. The turn style gonna get him killed.

I would give him Mike Wallace's 4.28 speed in the slot.
And
Quality offensive line depth at guard and/or center
Jamie Thomas
Louis Vazques
Cornelius Lewis
Eric Wood
Antione Caldwell
IMO, a starter at LG needs to be groomed and ready to step in now, if necessary. LT looks bleak in this draft, for Dallas. That is a big concern. I guess Leonard Davis goes to LT if Adams goes down. Then, you would need a player to step in at RG, and that player needs to be strong and powerful.

Romo could really use a Desean jackson-i really believe we can be explosive on the offense if we have a real speed threat at WR.can you imagine someone similar to jackson and felix on the field together?

all Romo needs is for Garrett to call more running plays, I think that was Jerry's main point, considerind we have 3 very talented backs
also call more shorter routes for the receivers and drops for Romo, and be less predictable
