Why shouldn't we care? It's one of those feel good stories that allows me the opportunty to see a chick in a bikini while I'm in the check-out line. I was just gawking at what a crazy good body Julia Louis Dreyfus has just this very morning.

At 48, Valerie looks very very good. To be in the best shape of your life at that age is impressive.

My wife bought that mag just for inspiration to lose those few extra pounds. Why it keeps ending up in my pile of stuff I have no idea. :D

Don't worry, Bob, it's not being targeted at you.

Think about who buys these kinds of magazines... it's middle-aged women.

They want to think that, just like Valerie, they can go from being pudgy to being in bikini-shape, even if they're in their late 40s. It's probably a fantasy for most, but the mere idea that maybe there's some magic diet plan inside is enough to sell magazines.

She actually stated specifically that she was on a very strict exercise regimen after losing the weight to get into the shape she's currently in.

She's adorable..................always has been.

Try running around with Eddie Van Halen for 20 years and coming out as unscathed as she is.......................no small feat!

:lmao2:

I encourage people to lose weight and feel good about themselves, but to be past your prime and show it off, not interested

edit: unless you are really smoking, like that one Bowflex chick who was in her '50s :)

I never saw what was so hot about her, even way back when. But, that's just me.

Having said that, if that's the worst thing I see in a bikini this summer when at Padre Island, I will count my blessings.

Maybe this is a generational thing. I'm about the same age as she is. She looks really good to me.

And I'm glad it's that way. I'd rather find people my own age attractive than to feel that way about young women who are my own daughter's age. (That'd be kind of creepy).
