You got out just in the nick of time. I had 3 programmers stuck down in Palm Springs since Wed of last week. They just got back to work today, via Minnasota. Yep, figure that one out. :lmao2:

I was wondering how that would affect you and your work. Are you anywhere near that area or is it just messing with your job?

It was the ash cloud. It came into the city over the weekend. It was blowing the other way when it first started, so we didn't have to worry.
Our bldg mgt called this weekend to let me know they were shutting off all the vents to all 20 floors. When they shut down the filtration systems, that shuts down the exhaust on my 4x 5ton AC units in the data center.
Long story short - had to come in and shut every server down. That wasn't the bad part. The bad part is that most of our systems I have virtualized w/ Vmware and those hosts did NOT want to play nice on boot. So I spent the past couple of days fighting a licensing issue. :o:
Oh..
Redbout is across the inlet from us. We can't even see it. The ash cloud always get us somehow. This one was bad but ive been through worse than this.
When Spurr was blowing it dropped about 2 inches of ash on the city. That was bad.

Oh Im still playing. There are a couple of issues w/ the new puter. The main one being that if McAfee is running - my internet connection goest from 100 to about 1. It is off now, but I need to get that fixed asap. This new virus about to hit could be pretty nasty.
How goes your new puter? Everything performing ok?

No issues thankfully considering all I went through. I have never like McAfee.
BP one of these days I fill you in on the details.
