if you can't afford an authentic, then just spend the money on a replica.

I know alot of people who buy fakes knowing full well they are fake. the fakes are almost exactly like the authentics and are 35 bucks. A lot better then wasting your money on a replica that will have the numbers and name worn out in a year. Don't knock fake jerseys until you have seen one in person. They are damn near perfect.

I believe they are out of china. Ordered a Barber and Witten this summer. It took about two weeks to arrive but well worth the wait. They look flawless and are constructed just like the real ones. Have all the reebok logos and tags as well. For all I know they are real.

I have 6 authentics and 2 fakes. The fakes are pretty near to authentic looking too. Replica's are trash and why would I spend more money on a replica to fade in a year anyway. I'm asking for more websites not your lecture.....mother. lol. happy easter.

The stuff that's fake is getting harder and harder to tell from the real ones. That's for the authentic ones at least. The counterfeiters have really caught up. You can still tell the difference if you compare it closely with a real one. It also goes to show you that the markup on these is extremely high.
Stuff like the 'game worn' jerseys are much harder to fake due to the material - those cost a ton anyway. The stuff that makes no mistake that they are replicas (not fakes, mind you, just licensed replicas) are cheap and often ugly.
If you're looking for something in between, they also sell replithentics that are very good quality.

I was not implying that anyone was less of a fan because they couldn't afford a real authentic.
Some of you people on here are jerks.
Buying an authentic jersey doesn't mean shelling out $200+. There are jersey forums out there where people trade and sell authentics for less than what nfl.com sell them for.
Instead of criticizing, maybe some of you need to look into other ways of getting authentics for less than retail, without supporting these fake jersey sellers.
Supporting the sellers of fakes just drives up the costs for authentics, but I wouldn't expect most of you to understand that.
I think this will be the last time I will be posting on this site. The quality of posters on here has definitely decreased over the years.
All the best to you all.

I agree. I can afford it, but there are better places where my money could be going. $40 for a jersey that is just as good as the real thing is a great deal for me. Plus it lessens the bite when a player leaves or changes jersey numbers.
I get my jerseys from http://www.brandsarea.com (http://www.brandsarea.com/).
Click on Jerseys & Suit on the left then click on the NFL tab, then down to the Cowboys jerseys.

i have tons of authentic from nfl shop and got scammed a few times on ebay trying to save money and you can easily see the difference in look and quality. those sites are selling the same cheap knock offs
thank god i always use paypal on ebay. i got my money back no problem
only someone who never had an authentic would say their the same thing. knock offs are cheap and feel of poor quality
i cant recall how many times ive seen people and friends of mine laughing at cats with knock offs and pointing at the wackness lol.

These knockoffs of which you speak must be pretty crappy but I've compared my fakes next to real authentics and honestly could not tell the difference. Besides, who cares what other people think? BTW, I have worn my fakes to Cowboys games and I didn't see anyone laughing or clowning my jersey. Actually, I saw a lot of jealous faces from guys sitting in the nose bleeds with authentics on while I was was enjoying 50 yard line seats about 15 rows behind the Cowboys bench with my fakes on. Those tickets were bought with money I saved by not buying authentic.

one clear noticeable characteristic in almost all knock offs is the sewn letters
it feels and looks like paper. not like the thick durable sewn on ones. it normally doesnt sit right, is an inaccurate size and doesnt have the correct detailing. im im talking about high price knock offs to. i have seen and can spot them all from a mile away
back in hs me and my boys use to especially laugh at cats that had throwbacks from mitchell and ness that didnt even exist lmao. like a jordan mitchell and ness jersey. especially the number 45 one lmao!!!
another dead giveaway is most fakes are more sheer and transparent
you can see through a lot of them.

I have 8 Jerseys from Jersey101, and 3 "real" authentic Jerseys. I spent a little under 300$ for all 8 fake "authentics" vs near 600$ for my 3 "real" authentics. There is no difference that I can tell between them, none what so ever. My fake ones even have all the appropriate cowboy/nfl logo's.
They are made of the exact same materials. The numbers are the same size, and made of the same material. I honestly cannot tell the difference, and I'm looking at a fake and a real one as I type this.

why do you think its cheaper? the whole reason it is is because it it made of lesser quality material. no knock off is made of the same exact material.

Not exactly. Its cheaper because your not buying from a brand name company that has driven the price up so damn much its rediculous. The authentics you buy from nfl.com or other places cost next to nothing to make but they drive the price so high.
Oh and btw the jerseys you get at some of these sites do use almost all the same material as authentics.
Buying fake jerseys is not gonna make the price jump lol. If anything they need competition and need to realise "hey maybe were charging to much for these things". Auths were expensive before knockoffs.
Ill buy an authentic if I want to get it signed and framed but ill be damned if I have the money to go around and collect and wear 250$ jerseys. Jersey elitist lol
Edit* Also yes I do have 4 authentics, 3 of which I dont wear much anymore because the players are not cowboys anymore so thats like 750$ wasted. I wil still buy authentics but I have nothing against buying a fake to save money. I guess im just not a good enough fan to want to put myself into debt for my team right?

Well, I have a knock off Ware Pro Bowl jersey and I have compared it to the two authentics I have and there is ZERO difference.
And if someone has to crawl up that close to me to inspect to see if it is a knock off then it's a pretty good knock off.
I have the money to buy any authentic I want, but that's why I have money. Because I don't waste it if I don't have to.

Fakes do not drive up the price of authentics. If people are buying them because they don't want to pay as much, why would you drive them even further away?
I can distinguish between fakes and authentics if I checked them both out firsthand, but it's so hard to tell now that there's no way you can tell a fake from ten feet away and certainly not in the stands.
I'm not a proponent of counterfeiting in any way as it's illegal, but I don't sympathize with the NFL on this. They priced these items so high that a market was created to combat it. If they would have been sensibly priced to begin with, the market for replicas would be miniscule.

The number spacing on the fake is way too narrow - most fakes do a much better job of keeping them distant. That's a bit sloppy, IMO.
That being said, the cost difference is so outrageous that you could buy seven of them and still not spend as much.

you say anyone who's owned both can spot it. wrong. i've owned a lot of "official" jerseys and to be frankly honest, got tired of paying $100 to get iron ons that fade in a year of good use.
how is charging more making it better? i put my fakes next to the real ones and i can spot some differences, but nothing tragic. the quality has been just as good as my game worn jersey i have.
the only jerseys i've ever had fall apart are the iron on ones the cowboys would gladly sell for way too much money.
i'm sorry, paying 5x as much for the same cloth isn't smart - it's just buying into the hype.
if that's what you're into - have fun. in the end they're likely a better jersey. but not better enough for me to see the $ difference.
some people treat this like religion. it's just a shirt people. chill.

Must be a very difficult and unfulfilling life (sorry for the use of the big words, I'm sure you can look them up) to spend all your time worrying about what everyone else is thinking about you. The reality is no one else gives a D*** what you are wearing.

ohhhhhhh
i was wondering what the hell happend to fantasticgoods! which one of the 2 is better?? any opinions?
My wife got me the Witten Thanksgiving Day jersey from Jersey101.com and it is great. I've never been able to afford the authentic or at least justify paying that much for something i would be afraid to wear. This jersey looks like the real thing. The material is top notch and the stitching is done very well too. I've worn it a whole lot since I got it and people come up to me and comment all the time about it being an authentic. If they ask, I'll tell them where I got it, otherwise I just let 'em believe what they want to believe.
I just can't see paying out the wazoo for a jersey(Don't get me wrong - I am a huge Cowboys fan and have been since I was a youngin' but there are other things to spend that kind of money on). As for me, I will buy another (knock-off) jersey and love wearing and thinking about the deal i got on it.

I've owned two "fakes" myself and the only difference is the NFL logo on the neck. On authentics it's outisde the collar, fakes it's sewn on the inside.
Unless someone can confirm this that owns an authentic? Other than that, the jerseys are pretty much spot on. I'll be ordering a couple from Jersey101 in a little while, one for football season and one now that baseball has started up!

i just cant wear counterfeit stuff no fake designer stuff. fake gucci shoes or jerseys for me. if thats your thing and you feel comfortable go right ahead. fine. i just cant roll around like that
Wow. Pampered much? Congratulations to you for being handed everything while you grew up, but some people have to make a living the hard way.
I wish I could laugh at "cats", and at the "wackness" of fake gucci shoes and whatnot.
You must live a very one-dimensional life, and for that, I feel sorry for you. Hope you feel good every morning waking up with "legit" clothes to wear during the day :)
The rest of us will keep wallowing in our pathetic knock off life full of things that don't matter such as school, family, friends, trivial things of that nature.

thanks for the jersey101 reference!
I can actually buy those without incurring the wrath of the wife.
Wish they had more players in stock.
How have you guys found the sizing to be?
They do not have a ton of the XL in stock and I am pretty sure L works for me but not if they run a bit small as most Chinese gear does.

Everyone should know that there are good fakes and bad fakes...
I've compared jersey101 bought jerseys to authentic jerseys side by side. Are there SMALL differences? Yes.
Are there $200 differences? Not even close
The biggest difference you'll see is that the sewing is a bit sloppy on the jersey 101 bought jerseys. You may need to break out some scissors to "clean it up" just a little bit.
I'll see if I can't find the pictures my buddy took of his authenic colts jersey next to the jersey101 one.

Perfectly said. I too have purchased jersey from 101 and the difference between those and authentics are so small its nearly impossible to tell unless you are a jersey expert. Like someone said earlier in the thread, 90% of the people will never figure them to be non-authentic. I compared my authentic Romo to the Witten, Felix, Barber, Ware I have gotten from 101 and its nearly identical. The only difference is the the texture of the lettering. The mesh, the weight of the jersey itself, the font of the numbers are all nearly perfect and cannot be proven non-authentic to someone walking past you or looking at your jersey. All in all, they're worth the money.

one clear noticeable characteristic in almost all knock offs is the sewn letters
it feels and looks like paper. not like the thick durable sewn on ones. it normally doesnt sit right, is an inaccurate size and doesnt have the correct detailing. im im talking about high price knock offs to. i have seen and can spot them all from a mile away

another dead giveaway is most fakes are more sheer and transparent
you can see through a lot of them.

WOW...you're biggest worry in life? Laughing at other people wearing their favorite players jersey, fake or not, IS NOT a way to roll.
To me, they are just smarter with they're money.

I will say that the jersey 101 whites look pretty good.
The blues jsut don't look right. I think its the position of the star on the sleeve. Minor difference. Basically it just comes down to how much of a difference it makes to you.
I do wonder if they are selling seconds honestly. If they aren't then they are doing some serious false advertising on their site.

I have heard that another thing that is noticeable on fakes is the "cowboys" on the blue jerseys. It looks garbled on the fakes. The only authentic I own is my white emmitt smith but it was given to me. I've been wanting to check out the fakes but I have yet to find a decent quality one.

The website that I ordered from is in China so the shipping did cost about $30 plus a western union transfer fee, but the rep from the website was very nice and cooperative with me to get the lowest shipping rates. Plus I ordered in bulk, so I ended up getting a jersey and three pairs of shoes (that cost over a $100 a pair in the malls) for about $175 total. If I bought authentic jerseys and shoes, I would have paid over $500 easy, but there really is no difference of notice even with the shoes.

I have no problem with people buying the $30/$40/$50 Jersey's (that I guess are fake, but I don't know much about them) and I have no problem with people buying the high priced $225 official NFL Authentic Jersey's.
I myself am happy buying the official $80 NFL Replica Jersey's. When I purchased these Jersey's it was when they were on sale, so I paid like around $50 for them. I purchased 2 from a sports store in my area and 3 from the Dallas Cowboys online store.
